Regarding bot requests

Hello bn.wikisource community. I see some of you have raised questions on Meta on why we delay granting of bot flags there. Please note that, unless local policy mandates otherwise, it has been a long time custom and practice to wait at least 5 or 7 days since the request was posted on the local wiki (here) to allow commentary from interested users. That said, it is OK to post simultaneously the request here and on Meta, but until a week has passed since the local request was opened, we are likely not to grant the bot flag. If you have further questions, I'm reachable at my talk page at Meta and here too (but please @ping me so I receive an email otherwise it's likely I won't notice).
