7 The Express, Bankipore. Friday, March 2. rpr 7. Messrs. K. P. Mookerjee and Co., the enterprising firm of stationers, printers, lithographers etc. of 'alcutta are to be congratulated on the sixth issue of their pictorial journal, Anuatik Bandhin which con... taias useful and interesting articles and nice pictures. It is a pity that they have to discontinue the specimens of Hindi papers owing to want of sufficient response from the Hindi reading public. They have however added some English articles, but we think the public would have preferred more the encouragement of the vernaculars of the country. We beg to acknowledge with thanks also a calendar and a pocket diary from Messrs. K. P. Mookerjee. The Beharee. 7hursday, April 5, or7. We are obliged to Messrs. K. P. Mukerjee & Co. (7. Waterloo Street, Calcutta) for a very nice pocket book and calendar for the —— year 1917 which is very prettily got up. Their beautiful Bengali Magazine, “Anathbandhu' is appearing regularly and with improved features month by month. The current number to hand worthily keeps up the reputation. ·布列 The "STATESMAN." Saturday, 19th May, 1917, “ ANATH BANDHU.”-The seventh number of the illustrated magazine published by Messrs. K. P. Mookerjee, of 7, Waterloo Street, Calcutta, is full of interesting and useful reading matter. A full page portrait of Lord and Lady Ronaldshay is given as frontispiece and the number is illustrated with several other half-tone and tri-colour blocks. The publishers have in this number introduced a few articles and a poem in English, so that the publication may appeal to a wider range of readers. II. My next scheme is to establish the ANNAPURNA ASRAM. It is a pleasure to me to announce to my patrons and friends that I have secured a plot of land for the location of the Asram near Baidyanathdham, a sacred and sanitary place and many of my patrons and friends approve of the selection immensley. I shall be very happy to build suitable Bungalows, and give each Bungalow the name of the donor, so that he will have his accomodation when he wants a change in such a sanitary place. It is needlees to mention here that it will be a shelter for the poor and it is for this purpose that I appeal to your charity. The programme of the Asram is appearing in the Anathbanhu. III. My third scheme :- he album of the Noblemen of Jabia, as the portraits and life-sketches are being printed in the pages of the Anathbandhu, the same Blocks will do for the work, only the sketches shall have to be translated into English. This work will be a book of peerage of India
