४ अट्टेक, ७ अक्षुम्न । ] ঋগ্বেদ সংহিত । [s० भ९ल, १५ श्ड । so DBB BBBS BBB BB BBB DBB S BBBBS BBB কর(১) ! ও। হে সিন্ধু ! তুমি প্রথমে কৃষ্ট নদীর সঙ্গে মিলিত হইয়া চলিশে । পরে মুসূৰ্ব ও রস ও শ্বেতীর সহিত মিলিলে । তুমি ক্রমু ও গোমড়াকে, কুভ ও মেহংচুর সহিত মিলিত করিলে। এই সকল নদীর সঙ্গে তুমি এক রথে অর্থাৎ একত্রে যাইয়া থাক(২) । ৭ । এই দুৰ্দ্ধৰ্য সিন্ধু সরলভাৰে যাইতেছে, তাহার বর্ণ শুভ্র ও উজ্জ্বল, তিনি অতি মহৎ, তাহার জল সকল মহাবেগে যাইয়া চতুর্দিক পরিপূর্ণ করিতেছে। যত গতিশালী আছে, ইহার তুলা গতিশালী কেহ মই। ইনি ঘোটকীর ন্যায় অদ্ভুত, ইনি স্থূলকায় রমণীর ন্যায় সৌষ্ঠব দর্শন । ৮। সিন্ধু চিরযৌবন ও সুন্দৰী : ই হার উৎকৃষ্ট ঘোটক, উৎকৃষ্ট রথ এবং উৎকৃষ্ট বস্ত্র আছে, মুবর্ণের অলঙ্কার আছে, ইলি উত্তমরূপে সঞ্জিত কুইয়াছেন । ইহার বিস্তুর অন্ন আছে, বিস্তর পশুলোম আছে, ইহার , (s) “satuari (Sutlej).” , “Parushni Irava'i, Ravi).” “It was this river which the ten kings when attacking the Tritsus under Sudas tried to cross from the west by cutting off its water, but their stratagem failed, and they perished in the river.”-Rig Veda, 7. 18. 8.
