140 সপঃ ক্রুরঃ থল ক্ররঃ সপাও ক্ররতরঃ थेल६ ॥ মন্ত্রেী যধিবশঃ সপঃ থলঃ কেন নিবাৰ্য্যতে ॥ চাণক্যপৃত৭১ ৷৷ সৰ্প ক্রর এব^ থল ত্রুর বিশেষ সপহইতে অতিশয় ক্রর থল যেহেতু মন্ত্র ও ওষধিদ্বার সপ বশ হয় কিন্তু থল ব্যক্তি কোন প্রকারেই বশীভূত হয় না ৷ A serpent and a deceitful man are both unfeeling; but a deceitful man is even more cruel than a serpent ; a serpent may be rendered innoxious by holy texts and medicine; but a deceitful man can by no means be subdued. ১৬৩ ৷ মহাজনে যেন গতঃ সপন্থঃ II 163. That is the path which has been pursued by the virtuous. বেদ বিভিন্নঃ স্মৃতয়ে বিভিন্ন নাসেী মুনির্যস্য মত^ ন ভিন্ন" । ধৰ্ম্মস্য তত্ত্ব" নিহিত গুহায়া-১ মহাজনে যেন গতঃ সপস্থাঃ । ইতি মহাভারত৭২ ৷৷ বেদ সকল ভিন্নং এব" স্মৃতি সকল ভিন্নং আর এমত মুনিই অপ্রসিদ্ধ-যাহার মত ভিন্ন নয় অতএব ধর্মের তত্ত্ব গুহামধ্যে লুক্কায়িত হইয়াছে সুতরাণ মহাজন যে পথ অবলম্বন করিয়াছেন, সেই পথ ৷৷ The Vedus differ from each; the Smritees are discordant; each sage has his own distinct opinions; the path of duty appears to be concealed in a cave; that is therefore the right path which the virtuous have pursued.
