77 যোজনান্তে থাকেন তত্ৰাপি যে যাহার প্রিয় সে তাহার দূর নহে ॥ A poet remarking on dissensions between friends, says; the peacock resides on the mountain, but the clouds are far away in the sky; the sun is a thousand Yojuns distant from the lotus, which is in the water; the moon, the friend of the Koomood, is two thousand Yojuns distant from it; yet he who enjoys the affection of another is never distant from him.* ১০ । যদি কিঞ্চিদ্বরে দোষঃ কি^ধনেন কুলেন কি০২৷৷ 90. If there be any defect in the bridegroom of what avail are wealth and noble descent 2 আদৌ তাতোবরণ পশ্যেত্ততোবিত্ত ততঃ কুল-১। যদি কিঞ্চিদ্বরে দোষঃ কি^ধনেন কুলেন কি০২। ইতি ব্ৰহ্মপুরাণে হরগৌরীবিবাহে ॥ বিবাহকালীন প্রথমতঃ পিতার কর্তব্য যে বরের প্রতি দৃষ্টি করেন তদনন্তর তাহার ধনাদি দেখেন পশ্চাৎ তাহার কুলের প্রতি নিরীক্ষণ করেন যেহেতুক বরেতে যদি কিছু দোষ থাকে তবে ধনেইবা কি হয় এবণ কুলে ইবা কি হয় ৷ On the occasion of a wedding, it is the duty of the father to look carefully at the bridegroom; then to enquire concerning his wealth,
- The clouds are said to be on the most friendly terms with the peacock;
the lotus expands its slowers when the sun nounts the sky; the Koomood (white esculent lotus) buds forth when the moon rises.
