( their applications, accompanied with testimonials, to the Secretary Council of Education, by whom they will be submitted to the Committee appointed by Government to examine and classify all such persons, in accordance with the subjoined regulations entitled : RULES Fort THE EXAMINATION OF CANDIDATE FOR IoMPLOYMENT AND PROMOTION IN THE EDUCA TION IM°A】《TM以N雪。 1. A Committee shall be formed for the purpose of examining candidates for employment and promotion in the Education Department. 2. The Committee shall ordinalily consist of the Secretary to the Council of Fducation, the Secretary to the Madrasah, the Inspertor of Colleges and Schools, the Principals and liead-Masters of the Hindoo and IIooghly Colleges, and the Professors of Iiterature nnd Matlıeınatics in those ('ollegos. 'The Council of Eduentiom miiy add to the Committee from time to time any other fit persons as extraordinary members. Three inembers shall form a quorum. 3. The regular meetings of the Committee shall be held at the Hindu College once every three months; viz. upon the first Saturdays in January, April, July, and October, at 10 A. M. 4. Emergent Meetings shall be held nt such times, and for such purposes, as the Council of Education may direct, due notice of at least one week being given of every such inecting. 5. The principal business of the Committee will be to examine all candidates for employment in the Edueation Department, to ascertain the qnalifications and fitness of those in the Department who are otherwise eligible for promotion from one grade to another, and to dispose of such other matters of a similar nature as the Council of Fduca tion may direct. 6. All candidates for employment as teachers in Government Institutions shall be ranked in four classes, according to their acquirements and general aptitude for conducting the important and responsible duty of Education. 7. The fourth or lowest class shall comprehend all such as are skilled in reading, writing, arithmetic, and the subjects laid down in the junior scholarship standard; and who likewise shew some aptitude in imparting instruction and explaining all difficulties correctly and in precise and appropriate terms. This class will be considered eligible to situations, of which the salary is from 10 to 50 Rupees a-month. 8. The third shall consist of those who are highly skilled in the branches of study required to be taught by the fourth class, and who also exhibit great aptitude in teaching, and a good general >vq. ) দের যে২ প্রশ৭সাপত্র থাকে ভাহা আপনারদের দরখা ত্তের সঙ্গে বিদ্যাখ্যাপনের কৌন্সেলের সেক্রেটারী লাহেবের নিকটে পাঠান এবং নীচের লিখিত ৰিধানানুসারে ঐসকল ব্যক্তির ইমতিহান লইতে ও র্তাহারদের সম্প্রদায়? করিতে গবৰ্ণমেন্ট ষে কমিটি নিযুক্ত করিয়াছেন সেই কমিটির নিকটে ঐ সেক্রেটারী সাহেব সেই দরখাস্তু জ্ঞাপন করিবেন । বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের সিরিশতায় নিযুক্ত হওনের ও উচ্চ পদ পাইবার আকাড়ি ব্যক্তিরদের ইমতিস্থানের বিষয়ি বিধান । ১। বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের সিরিশতায় র্যাকার নিযুক্ত হই তে এবং পদ পাইতে ইচ্ছা করেন র্তাহারদের ষ্টমতিতান লইবার এক কমিটি নিযুক্ত হইবেন। ২ । বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের কৌন্সেলের সেক্রেটারী সাহেৰ ও মদরসার সেক্রেটারী সাহেব এবং কালেজ ও পাঠশালার তত্ত্বাবধারক সাহেবের এবং হিন্দু ও হুগলী কালেজের অধ্যক্ষ ও প্রধান শিক্ষক সাহেবের এবং ঐ > কালেঞ্জে গ্রন্থ বিদ্য ও ক্ষেত্র পরিমাপক বিদ্যার অধ্যাপক সাহেবের লইষ সামান্যতঃ কমিটি হইবেক। বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের কৌন্সেলের সাহেবের সময়ক্রমে অন্যান্য উপযুক্ত লোকদিগকে কমিটির উপরি মেম্বরী কর্মে নিযুক্ত করিতে পারেন। তিন জন মেম্বর উপস্থিত হইলেই কর্ম সিন্ধ হইতে পারিবেক । ৩। কমিটির নিয়মিত বৈঠক তিন ১ মাস অস্তুর অর্থাৎ জানুআরি ও আপ্রিল ও জুলাই এবং অটোবর মাসের প্রথম শনিবারে বেলা দশ ঘণ্টার সময়ে হিন্দু কলেজে হইবেক । ৪। আলশ্যক কোন বিষৰ উপস্থিত হইলে বিদ্যাধnপনের কৌন্সেলের সাহেবেরা যে২ সময় ও যে> অভিপ্রায় নির্দিষ্ট করেন সেই সময়ে ও সেই অভিপ্রায়ে বৈঠক ইষ্টলেক । কিন্তু এমত প্রত্যেক বৈঠকের সমাদ ঐ বৈঠক হ ওনের অনুনি এক সপ্তাহ পূৰ্ব্বে দেওয়া যাইবেঙ্ক । ৫। ঐ কমিটির বিশেষ কার্য্য এই । যাহারা বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের সিরিশতায় হইতে চাহেন ভাঙ্গারদের *प्रङिङांब लडझ1 4न९ बै निहि-डाग्न मैंiशङ्गा च्यनTामT বিষয়ে উচ্চ পদ প্রাপণের উপযুক্ত র্তাহারদের যোগ্যতা ও উপযুক্তত নিৰ্ণয় করণ এবং ঐ প্রকার অন্য ষে কোন কার্য্য বিদ্যাধ্যাপনের কৌন্সেলের সাহেবের নির্দিষ্ট করেন তাহার নির্বাহ কর । ৬। গবর্ণমেন্টের বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষকতার কর্মাকাচিক্ষ সকল ব্যক্তি আপনারদের নৈপুণ্যানুসারে এবং বিদ্যা শিখাওনের অভিগুরুতর ঝুঁকীর কর্ম করিবার সাধারণ উপযুক্তভানুসারে চারি শ্রেণীতে বিভক্ত হইবেন। ৭ । র্যাহার লিখনেতে ও পড়নেন্তে ও অঙ্কবিদ্যাভে নিপুণ এবং ষে বিষয়ে সুশিক্ষিত হইয় কোন ছাত্র দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণীর বুজি পাইতে পারেন সেই২ বিষয়ে নিপুণ এবং র্যাহার। বিদ্যা শিখাগুনেতে পট দুষ্ট হন এবং কঠিন বিষয় ঠিকরুপে এবং নিশ্চিত ও উপযুক্ত বাক্যে বুঝাইতে পারেন তাহারা চতুর্থ অর্থাৎ নীচৰু শ্রেণীতে গণ্য হইবেন । এই শ্রেণীর ব্যক্তিরা ১০১ অবধি ৫১১ টাকাপৰ্য্যন্ত মাসিক বেতনের কমে নিযুক্ত হইবার যোগ্য বোধ হইবেন । ৮ । চতুর্থ শ্রেণীর শিক্ষকেরদের ষে সকল বিদ্যা শিখাইভে হইবেক সেই সকলেতে র্যাহার। অতিনিপুণ হন এবং বাহার। শিখাওনের কর্মে অত্যন্ত পটুতা প্রকাশ knowledge of the duties of a Schoolmaster.
