The 14th May 1894. No 33 Marine —In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Petroleum Act, XII of 1886, the Lieutenant-Governor proposes to make the following revised rules in supersession of IRules 11 and 12 of the existing rules to regulate the importation of petroleum by sea into the Lower Provinces of Bengal, published under Notification No 102 Marine of the 1st November 1892 – Eu 1sting Rules Rule 11 —Every other ship having petroleum on board shall not proceed upwards further than Jooldia, and such petroleum shall be detained there pending the grant of an limport license under section 5 of the Act, or the issue of a oertificate under section 9 of the Act, or the issue by the Local Government ot directions regardıng ıt Rule 12 —(1) When a ship is stopped at Jooldia under Rule 11, the Collector of Customs shall as soon as possible, not exceeding fortyeight hours from the time of the stoppage of the ship, obtain samples of all the petroleum lunded or discharged, or intended to be landed or discharged The master shall deliver to the Collector without charge such samples as ho shall take Revised Rules Rule 11 —No other ship having petroleum on board shall proceed upwards further than Guptakhali, and such petroleum shall be detained there ponding the grant of an import license under section 5 of the Act, or the issue of a certificate under section 9 of the Act, or the issue by the Looal Government of directions regarding it Rule 12-(1) When a ship is stopped at Guptakhali under Rule 11, the Collector of Oustoms shall as soon as possible, not exceeding forty-eight hours from the time oť the stoppage of the ship, obtain samples of all the petroleum landed or discharged, or intended to be landed or discharged The master shall deliver to the Uollector without charge such samples as he shall take Il is Honour will be glad to consider any objections or suggostions which may be made by anv person concerning these revised rules within one month from the date of publication C W ODLING, Stew to the Gott of Bangal
