ORDERS BY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR OF BFNG ATL یےـ مہینے یہی تعموجـیـبـبـتـقہ === ج-سیسم- مساحت=جمچ=مست REVENUE DEPARTMENT-LAND REVENUE RULES UNDER SEC TION 7 OF THE GOVERNMENT MANAGEMENT OF to PRIVATE ESTATES ACT, 1892 NOTIFICATION.—No 196L R. The 12th January 1894 —In exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7 of the Government Management of Private Estates Act, X of 1892, the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal is pleased to make the following rules, a draft of which was promulgated by notification No 4660L. R., dated the 14th November 1893, published at page 945, Part I of the Calcutta Gazette of the 15th idem — (a) The rate leviable under section 3 of the Act on all private estates, as defined in clause (3) of section 2, in order to cover as nearly as possible the cost of all Government establishinents employed and contingent expenditure incurred by the Government for the supervision and management of such estates, shall be as follows — Two and-a-half per cent on estates with a gross income [as defined in clause (2) of section 2] of 5 lakhs of rupees or less For estates with a higher income the rate will be fixed separately in each case by the Government The estates of this class now under management ale the following, and they will pay at the rates shown -- Purdwan © One-half per cent Tikari and Dighapatiya © C. One and-a-half per cent (b) If any estate is under Government management for a portion of the year only, the rate is to be levicd only upon the gross income received during the period of such management (c) Under section 4 the rate leviable on all private estates having a current rent and cess demand of Rs 50,000 and upwards, which are subjected to audit by the Examiner of Local Accounts shall be as follows — Six annas per cent on estates with a gross income of five. lakhs or less For estates with a higher income the rate will be fixed separately in each case by the Government The estates of this class now under management are the following, and they will pay at the rates shown — Burdwan One anna per cent Tikari and Dighapativa Four annas per cent (d) Under section 4 the payment of tees shall be obligatory on all estates for legal business done for them by the office of the Superintendent and Itememblancer of Legal Affairs The scale of fees is as follows — Rs to Rs Drawing plants, written statements and memoranda of appeal 5 , 85 Settling appeals 5 , 85 Do pctitions O 5 , 85 Opınıon 5 ,, 85 Compromise so 鬱 O 20 , 85 Consultation Q © 20 , 85 Motion Q & O 85 Contested motion (> 85 О Е Воскл.Амn, Secretary to the Gott of Bengal.
