( tషి 3 ) Order in Council, dated 15th January of the present year, Her Majesty's Order ın Çouncıl, under date 15th January of the present year, as also the Reg;lations, Conditions, Penalties anású the provialofit contained and set forth in th9 Schedule an nexed to such Ordershall have fores of Law and be put into execution is the Island of Mauritius from the day on which the Honourable the Officer administering the Gqvernment of the Colony shall have made known by a Proclamation, that the Go vernment of India by a definitive Act, has removed the restrictions with respect to the 1 migration of Natives of India to the Island of Mauritius, and has regulated the conditions of their future Emigration to this Colony A RT 2 Penal Obligation subscribed in India by the Masters or Captains of Ships conveying Emigrants cognizable at the Maurutus All Penal Obligations which shall have been esta blished in India with a view to secure on the part of the Master or Captain of any Ship or Vessel conveying Emigrants to Mauritius, the execution of the conditions and formalitics proscribed for the convey ince of such Emigrants, either by Her MaJesty's Order ın Council of the I5th of Jannary last, or by any other Luw which may be passed in India for the same object, shall in case of infringement of any of the conditions of the said Obligations be cognizable in the Island of Maurithus and the proceedings for the recovery of the Penalties shall be cari led on before the Ordinary Counts of the Colony Авт, 8 Jonally agatnst any Captain who shall not be furnished with the License or Document prescribed by any Law which shall have been passed in India Confiscation of the Shop. Every Wessel on which Emigrants may be con veyed to Mauritius, there to be hired and employed as labourers, and which shall not be furnished with the License or Document without which, according to any Law which may be passed in India, no Wes. sel can be permitted to convey Emigrants shall be liable to be confiscated, and the Master of such Wessel to be prosecuted before the Court of Correctional Policar and eondemned in a fine of One Hundred Pounds for each Elmgrant thus illegally conveyed ART 4 Penalty against any Captain who shall introduce wnto the Colony Emigrants mat borns on the List or Duplicate of the Act pretories.
