The following Act is passed by the IIonourable tlıe l'resident of the ('ouncıl of Indı u ın ('ountıl on the 1st May 1847, with the assent of the IRight Honourable the Governor General of India, which has been read and recorded. Ordered, that the Act be promulgated for general information. ACT No. VII. or 1847 An Act to regulate Distresses sor Small Rents in ('alt utta I It is hereby enacted, that it shull be lawful for the Commissioners of the Court of Commissioners for the Itecovery of Small Debts in and for the Settlement of Fort William in Bengal to appoint four or more persons to be liailiffs and Appraisers for the purposes of this Act, and to fix such reinuneration for the services of the said Oslicers as shall appear to glie said Commissioners CApt dient, and that such persons shall be duly sworn before the said Connissioners, and shnll also give security to be approved by the said Commissioners faithfully to discharge the duties of their office, and that the said Commissioners shall have power to suspend or remove such persons so appointed, provided that it shall be lawful for the said Commissie’vers to appoint the Bailiffs who may be attached from time to time to the said Court to the office of Distraining Bailiffs and Appraisers for the purposes of this Act, and to award to the said उjझेन ! ফোর্ট উলিযম। * দেশীষ ডিপার্টমেন্ট । লেজিসলেটিক । ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী ১৮৪৭ সাল ১ মে । ভারতবর্ষেৰ প্ৰযুক্ত গবর্নর জেনরল প্ৰহাদুরের সমতিক্রমে পশ্চাৎ লিগিত আইন ১৮৪৭ সালের ১ মে তাৰিখে ভারতবর্মের কোন্সেলের খ্ৰীযুত অনরবিল প্রসীডেন্ট সাহেব হজুৰ কৌন্সেলে জারী কবিলেন । প্রযুক্ত গবরণর জেনরল বাহাদুরের ঐ সমতিপত্র পাঠ হ ষ্টয়া কৌন্সেলের বর্তীতে আপণ হুইসাছে । হুকুম হইল যে এই আইন সৰ্ব্ব সাধারণ লোকর্কে জ্ঞ নাইবার নিমিত্তে প্রকাশ হয় । ইঙ্গবেঞ্জী ১৮৪৭ সাল ৭ অtটন । শতব কলিকাতার অলপ ভাড়ার নিমিত্ত্বে ক্রোঝেই বিষয়ি নিয়ম করণের অস্টিন । ১ ধাল । টকাতে হুকুম হইল যে বাঙ্গল দেশস্ত ফে'ট উলিযম রাজধানীর মধ্যে ও তাহার নিমিত্তে অলপ কঞ্জ আদাধের নিমিত্তে যে কোর্ট কমিস্যনর • স্থাপন আছে সেই আদালতের কমিস্যনরেব। এই আইনের অভিপ্রামের নিমিত্ত্বে ঢারি বা ততোধিক ব্যক্তিকে বেটলিফ অর্থাৎ সারঞ্জন এবং যাচনদারের পদে নিযুক্ত করি তে পারেন এবং ঐ কর্মকারকেরদের মেহনতের নিমিত্তে যে মেহনতান। ঐ কমিস্যনরেরদের উচিত্ত বোধ ক্ষয় তাহা নিরূপণ করিতে পারেন এবং ঐ২ ব্যক্তি ঐ কমিসানবেরদের সমুখে রীতিমত শপথ করিবেক এবN আপন১ পদের কার্য বিশ্বস্তুরূপে নিৰ্বাহ করণের বিষসে ঐ২ কমিস্যনরেব মঞ্জুবহওয জামিন দিবেক এবং এ কমিমানরেরা এইরূপে নিযুক্ত ঐ ব্যক্তিরদিগকে স্থগিত করিতে অথবা তগীর করিতে পারিবেন । কিন্তু জান; কৰ্ত্তব্য যে ঐ আদালতে সমযক্রমে যে২ বেইলিফ নিমুক্ত থাকে তাহারদিগকে ঐ কমিসানরেরা এই অষ্টিনের অভিপ্রায়ের নিমিত্ত্বে ক্রোককারি বেইলিফ ও স্বাচনদারের পদে নিযুক্ত করিতে পারেন এবং ঐ২ কর্মকারক ঐ আদালতে এক্ষণে যে মাছিয়ানা পাটতেছে তা
