It is heroby enactod, that such patts of the It gulations of the IBengal Code as establish tribunals and prescribe i ules of procedure for investigations regarding the liability to assessment of I'uids gained from the sea or from 11vers by alluvion or deriliction, or regarding the right of Governinent to the owne ship thereof, shall from the date of the passing of this At t cease to have cfleet within the l’rovincus of Bengal, Rehar and Orissa; and that all such investigations ponding before the Collectors and Deputy Collectors in the said Provinces at the said date, shall foıthwith be discontinued; and that no measures shall hereafter be taken for the assessment of such lands, or for the assertion of the right of Government to the ownership thereof, except under the provisions of this Act. II.
