Act No. от 1847. An Act to confer aertain powers and privileges on the Commissioners for the Minprovement of the Town of Calcutta, and to provide for the arecio tion of certain public works by them. Whereas by Act No. of 18.4 amongst other things enacted, that the wholo proseeds of the rates and taxes therein aforesaid, after plying all establishments and incidental expences should, together with such monies as the Government of Bengal, with the sanction of the Governor General in Council, might direct to be paid over to the Commissioners for the Improvement of the Town of Calcutta therein aforesaid, be applied by them to the following purposes, víz. Formation of Tanks and Aqueducts for the con veyance of water to all parts of the Town. Opening of Streets and Squares in crowded parts of the Town. Filling up Stagnant Pools of Water and remov ing obstructions to the free circulation of air. Lighting and Watering the Roads and Streets. Cleansing and repairing the same and the drains of the said Town. And improving and embellishing the said Town generally. And whereas for the effectual accomplishment of the purposes aforesaid, it is expedient that the said Commissioners should be empowered to ap , it was mga „$ mA : আইনের মুসাবিদ । ফোট উলিয়ম । দেশীয় ডিপার্টমেন্ট । 事 লেজিসলেটিব । ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী ১৮৪৭ সাল ২ ৩ নবেম্বর । প্রস্তাবিত আইনের নীচের লিখিত মুসাবিদ ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী ১৮৪৭ সালের ২৭ নভেম্বর তারিখে হজুর কৌন্সেলে প্রথমবার পাঠ করা গেল । ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী ১৮৪৭ সাল – আক্ৰট । কলিকাতা শহর পরিপাট করণার্থ নিযুক্ত কমিস্যনরদিগকে কতক ২ শক্তি ও ক্ষমত দেওনের এবণ তাহারদের দ্বfর কত্তক ২ সরকারী কর্ম নির্বাহ করণের নিয়ম করিবার মাইম । যেহেতুক অমুক সালের অমুক নম্বরী আইনের দ্বারা অন্যান্য হুকুমের মধ্যে ইহাও নির্দিষ্ট ছিল যে তাহার মধ্যে উল্লিখিত কর ও টাক্লের যত উৎপন্ন হয় তাহাহইতে সকল সিরিশতার ও উপরি খরচ দেওনের পর যে টাকা অবশিষ্ট থাকে তাহ এবং যে২ টাকা বাঙ্গল। দেশের গৱৰ্ণমেন্ট শ্ৰীযুত গবরনর জেনরল বাহাদূরের হজুর কৌন্সেলের অনুমতিক্রমে কলিকাতা শহরের পারিপাট কর্মে নিযুক্ত কমিস্যনরদিগকে দিতে হুকুম করেন সেই সকল টাকা এই২ কার্য্যে ব্যয় হইবেক বিশেষতঃ । শহরের সকল স্থানেকে জল দেওনার্থ পুষকরিণী ও জলপথ খননকরণ । , শকরের যে ২ স্থানে ঘর অতুিঘন আছে সেই ২ স্থানে রাস্তা এবং চক প্রস্তুত করণ । অপ্রবাহ জলাশয় পূর্ণকরণ এবং বায়ুর স্বচ্ছন্দে গমনাগমনের অবরোধ উঠাইয় দেওন । পথ ও রাস্তাতে আলো দেখুন ও জল দেওন । পথ ও রণস্তা এবং শহরের, নরদম পরিষকার করণ ও মেরামৎ করণ । * এবA সামান্য চঃ শহরের পারিপাট্য করণ ও শোভ1 করণ । 彰 O এবং যেহেতুক পূৰ্ব্বোক্ত অভিপ্রায় সফলমতে সিদ্ধ করণার্থ উচিত হয় যে ঐ কমিস্যনয়দিগকে এক জন भूछद्गीङ्ग 8 ७क जम जङ्ग८दङ्गङ्ग ७यx श्रनणांना श्रादशाक [Government Gazette, 21st December, 1847.] 2 C
