Whenever it appears to the Director General of Telegraphs that any act causing or likely to cause wrongful damage to any telegraph is repeatedly or maliciously committed iu any place, and that the employment of an additional police force in such place is thereby rendered necessary, the Local Government may, on the application of the said DirectorGeneral, send such additional force to such place, and employ the same therein so long as such necessity continues; and the inhabitants of such placeshall be charged with the cost of such additional police force; Power to employ additional police in places where mischief to tele. graphs is repeatedly coinmitted, and the Local Government may by order in each case define the limits of any place for the purposes of this section; and the Magistrate of the District, after enquiry is necessary, shall, subject to the orders of the Local Government, assess the proportion in which such cost is to be paid by the said inhabitants according to his judgment of their respective means, All monies payable under this section shall be recoverulole either under thc warrant of a Magistrate by distress and sale of the goods of the defaulter withiu the local limits of such Magistrate’s jurisdiction, or by suit in any competent Court, and shall be applied to the maintenance of the police force, or otherwise as the GovernorGeneral in Council may from time to time direct. 17. Any telegraph officer who wilfully secretes, maker uway witli, ultors wr omits to transmit any mes sage which he may have received for transmission or delivery, or Penalty for omitting to transmit or deliver unessages. wilfully, or wtherwise than by the oÍficial order of a Secretary to the Government of India or to the Local Government, or of such other officer as the Governor General in Council authorizes to give such order, intercepts any message or any part thereof, or divulges any message, or the purport of any inessage or of any part thereof, to any person not entitled to receive the saine, or For intercepting or divulging messages. divulges the purport of auy telegraphic signal to any person not entitled to become acquainted with the same, لا tastfaب مطلا ا فيمالا ا uraجc7f هذaج) sta] For divulging purport of signals, [ङ्खैौन्न थ७ ।। টেলিগ্রাফের অন্যায়মতে হানি ছয় কি হইবার সন্তাবনা থাকে, কোন স্থামে বারম্বার ও দ্বেষপূর্বক এমত কম কয় গেলে, ও তৎপ্রযুক্ত সেই স্থামে পোলীসের আর কএক জন আমলাকে নিযুক্ত করা আবশ্যক টেলিগ্রাফের ডিরেক্টর জেনারল সাহেবের এমত জ্ঞান থাকিলে, স্থানীয় গবর্ণমেন্ট র্তাহার প্রার্থনামতে সেই স্থানে উক্ত আর কএক জম আমলাকে পাঠাইতে পরিবেন, ও যত দিন আবশ্যক তত দিন ঐ আমলাদিগকে তথায় রাখিতে পারিদেম ; ১৬ ধারা । যাহতে বারম্বার টেলিগ্রাকের ছানি করা গেলে পোলীসের অতিরিক্ত আমলা নিযুক্ত কfরৰার কথা । ও পোলীসের সেই আর কএক জম আমলার খরচ ঐ স্থানবাসিদের নিকট হইতে লওয়া যাইবে ; ও স্থানীয় গবর্ণমেন্ট আজ্ঞাপত্ৰকমে এই ধারামত কার্য্য সাধমার্থে একম স্থানের সীমা নির্দিষ্ট করিতে পরিবেন, ও জিলার মাজিষ্ট্রেট সাহেব আজ্ঞামতে তদন্ত লইয়া ঐ স্থানবাসিদের মধ্যে যাহার যেমন সঙ্গতি থাকে আপনার বিবেচনামতে স্থানীয় গবর্ণমেন্টের অনুমতিক্রমে তদনুসারে তাছাদের উপর অংশংশমত্তে ঐ খরচ ধার্য্য কfরবেন । এই ধারামতে যে টাক পাওনা থাকে, মাক্তিষ্ট্রেট সাহেব পরওয়ানা দিয়া আপনার এলাকার অন্তর্গত স্থানের মধ্যে বাকীদারের যে মাল থাকে তাছা ক্রোক ও মিলাম করিয়া, অথব) উপযুক্ত ক্ষমতাপন্ন কোন আদালতে মকদম উপস্থিত করিয়া ঐ টাকা আদায় করিতে পরিবেন ; ও পোলীস দলের ব্যয়পোষণার্থে কিম্বা মন্ত্রিসভাধিষ্ঠিত ঞ্জযুত গবৰ্ণর জেনরল সাহেল সময়েই অন্য যেরূপে তাহা খরচ করিতে বলেন, ঐ টাকা সেইরূপে খরচ করা যাইবে ইতি । ১৭ ধারা । কোন টেলিগ্রাফ অফিসর প্রেরণ করিবার কি পছছাইয়া দিবার নিমিত্ত বাৰ্ত্তা পাইয়। তাছা স্বেচ্ছাপূৰ্ব্বক গোপনে রাখিলে কি নিৰুদেশ কি পরিবর্ভন করিলে কিম্ব প্রেরণ না করিলে, কিম্বা স্বেচ্ছামতে অথবা ভারতবর্ষের গধর্ণমেন্টের অtটক রাখিবার কি অন্য- কি u ·a স্থানীয় গবর্ণমেন্টের কেশনেইবর oেদকক সেক্রেটর সাহেবের রাজকার্য্য ঘটিত আজ্ঞা কিম্বা মন্ত্রিসভাধিষ্ঠিত শ্ৰীযুত গবৰ্ণর জেনরল সাহেব অন্য যে কাৰ্য্যকারকের প্রতি সেইরূপ আজ্ঞা করিতে ক্ষমত দেন, র্তাহার ঐ অণজ্ঞ না পাইয়। কোন বাৰ্ত্ত কি তাহার কোন অংশ আটক রাখিলে, কিম্বা যে ব্যক্তির সেই বাৰ্ত্তা জানিবার অধিকার নাই এমত কোন ব্যক্তিকে সেই বাৰ্ত্ত কি তাহার মৰ্ম্ম কিম্বা তাহার কোন অংশের মৰ্ম্ম-জ্ঞাত করিলে, কিম্বা টেলিগ্রাফের সিগনেল জামিতে যtছার লিয়েলের মৰ্ম্ম জামাইবার অধিকার নাই তাহাকে সেই क्रष्टुं७ब्र बंधॊ1 ।। সিগনেলের মৰ্ম্ম জানাইলে, বার্তা প্রেরণ না করিবার कि नाँछ्छ्हेब्रु मा दिा দণ্ডের কথা ।
