The 7th February 1876.—Mr. David William Ritchic, District Superintendent of Police Singbhoom, having returned to duty on the forenoon of the 21st January 1876, the unexpired portion of the leave granted to him under orders of the 30th August last is cancclled. Mr. Charles Philip Crouch, Assistant Superintendent of Police, 24-Pergunnahs, is transferred to the district of Patna, and is posted to the sub-division of Barh, as a temporary arrangement. - to The 8th February 1876–Mr. F. A. Dawson, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mozuffernore, is appointed to act as District Superintendent of Police, Noakholly, from the date on which he may relieve Mr. G. H. French. Mr. A. V. Kuyvets to be Assistant Superintendent of Police at Mozuscrpore from the date on which he may be relieved of the charge of the District Police of Durbhunga. FDucation.— The 27th Jamuary 1876.-Baboo Navin Krishna Mukhcrji is appointed to be a Law Lecturer of the Hooghly College. The 4th February 1876.—The sollowing gentlemen are appointed to be members of the Poorec District School Committee :— Mr. F. F. Handley, Assistant Magistrate and Collector. Isaboo Gopal Chunder Mookeji, l\eputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector. ,, Jagat Doorlabh Mozoomdar, Moonsif. Opium.—The 8th February 1876.—Surgeon Major James John Durant, Principal Assistant to Opium Agent, Dehar, is allowed leave for one month, under Section 21, Chapter VI of the Civil Leave Code, with cffect from such date as he may avail himself of it. Mr. R. W. Nicholson, Assistant Sub-Deputy Opium Agent, attached to the Benares Agency, is allowed leave for three months, under Section 21, Chapter VI of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from such date in January 1876 as he availed himself of it. Medical.—The 2nd Fehruary 1876.—l)r. James A. Grcc.ne, Civil Medical Officer of Scrampore, is allowed leave for four days, under Scotion 21, Chapter VI of the Civil Leave Code, in cxtension of the two Inonths’ privilege leave granted to him in orders of the 28th September 1875. Surgeon-Major Francis Nottidge Macnamara, Professor of Chentistry in the Calcutta Medical College and Chenical 12xaminer to Government, is allowcd subsidiary leave for three days, under Section 18 (b)—l of thc Civil Leave Code, with effect from 1st December 1875. The 5th February 1876.—laboo Nilmoni Das, Moonsif, is appointed to be a member of the Committec for the management of the Charitable Dispensary at l’ankoora. The 7th February 1876.—Surgeon IIcnry Black Purves, Civil Surgeon of Darjeeling, having returned to duty on the afternoon of the 17th January 1876, the uncxpired portion of the privilege leave granted to him under orders of the 19th November 1875 is cancelled. Surgeon-Major I'rancis Nottidge Macnamara, Professor of Chemistry in the Calcutta Medical College and Chemical Examiner to Government, is allowed subsidiary leave for three days under Scetion 18, 2, of the Civil Leave Code, with cffect srom the afternoon of the 10th to the 14th February 1876. Road Cess.-The 5th February 1876.--Baboo Ram Chundro Banerjee, zemindar, is reappointed to be a member of the listrict Road Cess Committee, Dacca. The following gentlemen are reappointed to be members of the Moonshccg.unge Branch Road Cess Committcc : 1. Sub-Divisional Officer of Moonshergunge, ex-officio Chairman. 2.
