The 14th February 1876.--Whereas it appears to the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal that land is required to be taken by Government at the public expense for a public purpose, viz. for a scientific institution, it is hereby declared that for the above purpose a piece of land measuring 2 beeghas 15 cottahs, more or less, with buildings thereon, known as premises No. 210, Bow Bazar Street, in the town of Calcutta, bounded as follows, that is to say on the north hy tenanted land No. 1, Champatollah 2nd Lanc, belonging to Prem Chand Boral; on the south partly by premises No. 211, Bow Razar Street, standing” in the name of the Administrator-Gemoral, administrator to the estate of Elizabeth Heather, partly hy Bow Bazar Street and partly by premises No. 204, Bow Bazar Street, belonging to Ramtonoo Seal; on the east partly by tenanted land No. 1, Champatollah 2nd Lane, belonging to Prem Chand Boral, partly by premises No. 204, Bow Bazar Street, belonging to Ramtonoo Seal, partly by premises No. 205, Bow Bazar Street, belonging to Takoor Dass and Hurry Dass Dey, partly by premises No. 206, IRow Bazar Street, belonging to W. W. Bird, Esq., and partly by premises No. 209, 13ow Bazar Street, belonging to Bissumbhur Dutt, and on the west partly by premises No. 211, IBow Bazar Street, belonging to the Adininistrator-General, administrator to the estate of Elizabeth IIeather, and partly by a public drain, is required for the above purpose in the aforesaid town of Calcutta.
