General,—The 27th June 1877–Baboo Raj Gopal Roy, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Lohardugga, is transferred to Hazareebagh, and is vested with the powers of a Collector under Act X (B.C.) of 1871. 尊 Baboo Rash Bchary Bosc, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, is posted to the Sudder Station of the district of Lohardugga. o This cancels the orders of the 15th ultimo, published in the Calcutta Gazette of the 16th idem, posting him to the Sudder Statiou of Pooree. Baboo Kristo Kumar Sen, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Sylhet, in Assam, whose services have recently been placed at the disposal of the Government of Bengal, is appointed to be a Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector of the Seventh Grade, and is posted to the Sudder Station of Pooree. Mr. H. M. Töbin, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collcctor, 24. Pergunnahs, is allowed leave for three months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. The 28th June 1877.– Baboo Kali Sunker Sen, Special Sub-Deputy Collector of the Second Grade, is appointed to be a Special Sub-Deputy Collector of the First Grade in the district of Chittagong, with effect from the date on which his duty connected with the Road Cess in Chittagong terminated. The 29th June 1877.-The services of Mr. H. B. Lawford, Officiating I)istrict and Sessions Judge, 24-Pergunnahs, are temporarily placed at the disposal of the Government of India in the Home Department. Mr. J. O’Kinealy, Additional Judge and Additional Sessions Judge, 24-Pergunnahs and Hooghly, is appointed to act as District and Sessions Judge of the 24-Pergunnahs during the absence, on furlough, of Mr. A. T. Maclean, or until further orders. Mr. O'Kinealy will also act until further orders in the First Grade of Judges, vice Mr. H. B. Lawford. O Mr. P. D. Dickens, Officiating Chief Magistrate for the Town of Calcutta, is appointed to act as Additional Judge and Additional Sessions Judge of the districts of 24-Pergunnahs and Hooghly during the absence, on duty, of Mr. J. O’Kinealy, or until further orders. Mr. F. J. Marsden, Barrister. at-Law, an Officiating Presidency Magistrate for the Town of Calcutta, is appointed under Section 9, Act IV of 1877, to act as Chief Magistrate for the Town of Calcutta. Police.—The 30th June 1877.—Mr. V. W. Bertelsen, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Backergunge, is transferred to the district of IIooghly. The 2nd July 1877.—Mr. F. A. Chichester, Officiating Assistant Superintendent of Police, is transferred from Pubna to Burdwan. Mr. C. A. Soppitt, Officiating Assistant Superintendent of Police, is transferred from IBurdwan, to Pubna. Ecclesi Astica I.—The 27th June 1877.—The Revd. Piyari Mohun Mukherji, of the Methodist Episcopal Church; is authorized, under clause 3, Section 5, Act XV of 1872, to soleumize marriages between persons one or both of whom is a Christian or Christians. Registsation.— The 27th June 1877.-Mr. H. Rattray, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Jollector, is also appointed to be Sub-Registrar of Bogra, vice Baboo Dwarkanath Roy, transferred.
