The 2nd July 1877.-The Lieutenant-Governor accepts the resignation tendered by Baboo Mothura Nath Bhattacharjia of his appointment of Honorary Magistrate of the Serajgunge Sub-divisional Bench, in the district of Pubna. The 9th July 1877.-Mr. D. Cameron, Assistant Magistrate and Collector, who has, under separate orders of this date, been appointed to have charge of the Nattore division of the Rajshahye district, is vested with the powers of a Magistrate of the Second Class. Mr. F. H. Harding, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Dacca, is appointed, under the provisions of Section 3, Act II of 1869, to act as a Justice of the Peace within the territories under the Lieutenant-Governor’s control. The 10th July 1877. —Mr. F. St. C. Grimwood, Assistant Magistrate and Collector of Shahabad, who passed by the lower standard at the half-yearly departmental examination held in May 1877, is vested with powers of a Magistrate of the Second Class. Mr. F. St. C. Grimwood, Assistant Magistrate and Collector, Shahabad, who passed the departmental examination held on the 7th May last by the lower standard, is vested with the powers of a Magistrate of the Second Class. Baboo Khetter Mohun Mookerjee, B.L., is appointed to officiate as Moonsif of Baripore, in the district of the 24-Pergunnahs, during the absence, on leave, of Baboo Benode Behary Chowdhree, or until further orders. LEAvr of Ansence to Moonsifs.-The 23rd June 1877.—The unexpired portion (seven days) of the leave on urgent private affairs granted to Moulvi Ameer Ali Khan, Sudder Moonsif of Purneah, is cancelled. 脚 The 4th July 1877.-baboo Gocool Chand, Moonsif of Arareah, in the district of Purneah, is allowed leave of absence for three months, under Section 3, Supplement F, of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the 25th April 1877. & S. Darjeeling, the 4th July 1877.-It is hereby notified that the Lieutenant-Governor is, pleased to direct that the following be substituted for Sections 4 and 5 of the Regulations made by the Government under Section 6, Act XX of 1865, for conducting the examination of applicants for admission as pleaders or mookhtears in the mofussil courts subordinate to the High Court, published at pages l l 51 and 1152 of the Calcutta Gazette of the 1st October 1873. For Section 4– “The examination of candidates for pleaderships of the higher grade shall be held in Calcutta; the examination for lower grade pleaders and for mookhtears shall be held in Calcutta, Cuttack, and Gowhatty.” For Section 5– “The examination for higher and lower grade pleaders shall be conducted in English; and for mookhtears in English or in the vernacular of the district, at the option of the candidate, as declared in his application for admission to the examination.” S. The 6th July 1877.—It is hereby notified for general information that, under Section 78 of the Bengal Municipal Act, V (B.C.) of 1876, the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased, on the recommendation of the Commissioners of the Municipality of Serajgunge, in the district of Pubna, made at a special meeting, to sanction the registration by them, under Section 183 of the Act, of all carts kept or habitually used within the "Serajgunge Municipality, and the levy, under Section 184, from the 1st of April 1877, of a fee of Rs. 8 per annum upon every cart for such registration. * 8.
