The following gentlemen are appointed to be Extra Moonsifs in the district of the 24-Pergunnahs till the next Dusserah vacation, and are posted to the stations mentioned against their names : Baboo Moti Lall Singh, B.L., Diamond Harbour. ,, Jogendra Chundra Moullick, B.L., Satkhira. * ,, Upendra Chundra Ghose, B.L., Baripore. Baboo Binode Behari Mitter, B.L., is appointed to officiate as Moonsif of Busseerhaut, in the district of the 24-Pergunnahs, during the absence, on leave, of Baboo Demesh Chundra Roy, or until further orders. so LEAvg or Absence To Moonsirs.-The 18th July 1877.-Moulvi Abdul Hossein, Moonsif of Kudba, in the district of Purneah, is allowed leave of absence for six months, under Section 3, Supplement F of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the 25th June 1877. The 14th July 1877.--Baboo Ramdyal Ghose, Moonsif of Moolfutgunge, in the district of Furreedpore, is allowed privilege leave of absence for two months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from 2nd July 1877, or from any subsequent date. Baboo Denesh Chunder Roy, First Moonsif of Busseerhat, in the district of 24-Pergunnahs, is allowed privilege leave of absence for three months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. The 16th July 1877.--Baboo Benode Behary Chowdhree, Moonsif of Baripore, in the district of 24-Pergunnahs, is allowed privilege leave of absence from 6th July to 30th September 1877, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. Baboo Prosuuo Coomar Ghose, Moonsif of Thacoorgong, in the district of Dinagepore, is allowed privilege leave of absence for two months and thirteen days, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code, with "effect from the 19th July 1877, or from any subsequent date. The 29th June 1877.-The following bye-laws, framed by the Municipal Commissioners of Rungpore at a meeting under Section 318 of Act V (B.C.), 1876, having been confirmed by the Lieutenant-Governor under Section 814 thereof, are hereby published for general information : Aor Regulating the Time and Mode of Collecting Tawes. 1. Every officer authorized to collect taxes of any kind and grant receipts shall be provided with a certificate of such authority bearing the seal of the Municipality and signature of the Chairman. Every collecting officer at the time of demanding or receiving payment shall be bound to show this certificate if required. On the suspension or dismissal of a collecting officer, the Vice-Chairman shall take back his certificate, and so destroy it that no future use can be made of it by any one. “ح 2. Every person required in writing to furnish any schedule or return which the Commissioners may lawfully require him to furnish shall send such schedule or return to the office of the Commissioners within one week from the date of the service of the requisition, in the manner described in section 867 of the Act. Any person failing to do so shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Rs. 5 for the omission, and to a penalty not kceeding Rs. 2 för every day the omission shall, after warning, continue. Any person submitting a false or incorrect schedule or return shall be liable to a penalty of Rs. 20: provided that nothing in this bye-law shall be held to prevent the institution of a criminal prosecutiou under the Penal Code should the facts appear to warrant such a proceeding. v [oovernment Gasette, 24th July 1877.] 離
