.Pawr II[ ' ( לסאלכ ) orders BY THE LIEUTENANT-Governor of BENGAL. _i REVENUE AND GENERAL DEPARTMENTs. No. 4914A. GENERAL-The 20th September 1877–Captain O. H. Garbett, Assistant Commissioner of Lohardugga, is appointed to officiate until further orders as Deputy Commissioner of that district, vice Major E. Y. Walcott. The 24th September 1877.—Baboo Shosi Bhusan Dutt, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Maldah, is appointed to have charge of the Muddehpoora division of the Bhagulpore district. Baboo Hurry Churn Ghose, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Muddehpoora, is appointed to have charge of the Banka division of the Bhagulpore district. The 25th September 1877.—Major F. Y. Walcott, Assistant Commissioner of the First Grade, is posted temporarily to Lohardugga, with effect from the date on which he may be relieved of his present duties as Officiating Deputy Commissioner of that district. Baboo Tshree Pershad, Sub-Deputy Collector of Bettiah, in Chumparun, is allowed leave for two months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the date on which he availed himself of it. The 26th SeptembéP 1877–Mr. H. B. Simson, c.s., is allowed subsidiary leave for a period not exceeding thirty days, with effect from the 31st ultimo, preparatory to his retiring from the Civil Service. sa Baboo Rai Churn Ghose, Fourth Special Commissioner under the Chota Nagpore Tenures’ Act, having resumed charge of his duties on the forenoon of the 16th ultimo, the unexpired portion of the leave granted to him under the orders of the 23rd April last is cancelled, . This cancels the orders of the 30th August 1877, published in the Calcutta Gazette of the 5th instant. Baboo Raroda Kant Mozoomdar, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Sixth Grade, is promoted to the Fifth Grade of Deputy Magistrates and Deputy Collectors, vice Mr. J. E. A. Eyre, removed. Baboo Bejoy Kissen Bose, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Seventh Grade, is promoted to the Sixth Grade of Deputy Magistrates and Deputy Collectors, vice Baboo Baroda Kant Mozoomdar. Mr. Thomas Mohendro Lal Bose, Special Sub-Registrar, Jessore, is appointed to be a Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector of the Seventh Grade, vice Baboo Bejoy Kissen Bose, and is posted to the district of Jessore. Baboo Issur Chunder Mozoomdar, Sub-Deputy Collector, Dimagepore, is allowed leave for three months, under Section 3, Supplement F of the Civil Leave Code, in extension of the leave granted him under orders of the 19th June 1877. The 28th September 1877.--Baboo Kristo Coomar Sen, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, in charge of the Moonsheegunge division of the Dacca district, is allowed leave for one month and sixteen days, under Section 3, Supplement F of the Civil Leave Code, in extension of the leave granted to him under the orders of the Chief Commissioner of Assam, dated the 27th August 1877. The District Judge of the 24-Pergunnahs for the time being is appointed, under Section 3 of Act X of 1870, to perform the functions of a Judge in the Town of Calcutta, for the purpose of disposing of cases of land acquisition under the provisions of that Act. The 2nd October 1877.—Mr. E. A. Bradbury, c.s., reported his departure from India on furlough on the 19th September last. Mr. R. Cornish, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Mozufferpore, is transferred to Darjeeling for employment at Dhumsong. Mr. W. R. Larminie, Magistrate and Collector, Bankoora, is appointed to act as Magis’ trate and Collector of Burdwan during the absence, on leave, of Mr. E. H.
