i. ( s૨૭૨ ) (Pant II. orders BY THE LIEUTENANT-Governon or BENGAL. REVENUE AND GENERAL DEPARTMENTS.

No. 5038A. GENERAL-The 21st September 1877.-The orders of the 18th September 1877, transferring Baboo Gooroo Churn Dass, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, from Moorshedabad to Rungpore, are cancelled. Baboo Shital Nath Bose, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Howrah, is transferred to Rungpore. g The 8rd October 1877.—Mr. W. H. Grimley, Officiating Junior Secretary to the Board of Revenue, is confirmed in that appointment, vice Mr. A. Mackenzie. Mr. C. P. L. Macaulay, Officiating Junior Secretary to the Government of Bengal, is appointed to be Under Secretary to that Government in the Judicial Department. Mr. H. H. Risley, Officiating Under Secretary to the Government of Bengal, is appointed to be Assistant Secretary to that Government, but will continue to act as Under Secretary, vice Mr. J. Crawfurd. Baboo Rajandra Nath-Mitra, Officiating Assistant Soretary to the Government of Bengal, will continge to Act in that capacity, vice Mr. H. H. Risley, or until further orders. the 18th october 1877—Baboo J uggobundhoo Sen, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Noakholly, is allowed leave for three months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. | The 15th October 1877.—Baboo Gooroo Churn Doss, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Moorshedabad, is allowed leave for three months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. The 18th October 1877. —Baboo Okhoy Coomar Chatterjee, Deputy Magistrate and seputy Collector, Rungpore, is allowed leave for two months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code. Mr. R. M. Waller, Officiating Deputy Collector of Customs, Calcutta, is appointed to act as Magistrate and Collector of Bankoora, vice Mr. W. R. Larminie. Mr. W. Rattray, Sub-Registrar, Gya, is appginted to be a Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector of the Seventh Grade, vice Mr. G. Baptiste, and is posted to Gya. Baboo Tarapersad Chatterjee, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, in charge of the Bongong division of the Nuddea district, is appointed to have temporary charge of the Meherpore division of that district till relieved by Mr. J. D. Anderson, Baboo Chunder Seekur Banerjee, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, in charge of the Kooshtea division of the Nudden district, is reappointed to have charge of the Bongong division of that district, on being relieved of his present duties by Mr. J. Kelleher. Education.—The 16th October 1877—Baboo Nobin Chunder Dey, Law Lecturer, Patua College, is allowed leave for one month from the 22nd instant, under Section 9, Supplement F of the Civil Leave Code. Baboo Gobind Chunder Mitter, M.A. and B.L., is appointed temporarily to be Law Lecturer, Patna Gollege, during the absence, on leave, of Baboo Nobin Chunder Dey, or uutil further orders. The 23rd October 1877.--Baboo Tarak Nath Sen, Deputy fhspector of Schools, Furreedpore, is allowed leave for two months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the 9th instant.
