প্রতি এবম্প্রকার দয়া করিতেছেন এমত এক অভিযোগ তাঁহার প্রতি করিয়া তুলিলেন এবং এক জন ডিক টেটর নিযুক্ত করিয়া মানলিয়সকে তাঁহারা আদালতে আনয়ন করিলেন। অপর মানলিয়সকে লোকেরা যখন প্রাণদণ্ড করিতে উদ্যত হইলেন তখন তিনি তাঁহারদিগকে কহিলেন যে আমি যে দুর্গ প্রাণপণে রক্ষা করিয়াছিলাম তাহার প্রতি আপনারা অবলােকন করুন এবং কথিত আছে যে ঐ দুর্গ যতক্ষণ লোকেরদের দৃষ্টিগোচর ছিল ততক্ষণ ঐ লােকেরদিগকে মানলিয়সের প্রাণ দণ্ড করিতে রাজসভ্যেরা কোন প্রকারেই লওয়াইতে পারিলেন না। পরে আপনারদের অভিপ্রেত সিদ্ধকরণার্থ আদালত স্থানান্তরে স্থাপন করিলে মানলিয়সের প্রাণ দণ্ড হইল এবং যে পর্ব্বতহইতে তিনি রোমনগরের শত্রুরদিগকে তাড়িয়া দিয়া ছিলেন সেই পর্ব্বতহইতে তিনি আপনি নিক্ষিপ্ত হইয়া হত হইলেন।
