নিযুক্ত হইতে উদ্যোগ করিলেন কিন্তু মনোনীত হওনের দিবসে যে কুলীন সিপিয়ো নাসিকার দখলে অনেক সরকারী ভূমি ছিল তিনি আপনার অনুগত যষ্টিধারি লোক ও গোলামেরদিগকে সঙ্গে লইয়া এবং ভূরি২ রাজসভ্যেরদের সমভিব্যাহৃত হইয়া টিবিরিয়সের উপরে পড়িয়া তাঁহাকে ও তাঁহার তিন শত মিত্রকে খুন করিলেন। রাজ্যের পত্তনঅবধি ছয় শত বিংশতি বৎসর ব্যাপিয়া সরকারী বিষয়ে এইপর্য্যন্ত যত বিবাদ হইয়াছিল তাহা উভয় পক্ষীয়েরা কিঞ্চিৎ২ ছাড়িয়া দেওয়াতে মৈত্রীভাবেই ভঞ্জন হইয়াছিল যেহেতুক ইতর লোকেরা রাজসভ্যেরদের সম্মান করিতেন এবং রাজসভ্যেরাও এক প্রকারে ইতর লোকেরদের ভয় করিতেন। কিন্তু এইস্থলে রাজসভাস্থেরা আপনারদের অভীষ্ট সিদ্ধ্যর্থ বিপক্ষেরদিগকে যৎপরোনাস্তি অনিষ্ট অর্থাৎ খুনপর্য্যন্ত করিতে উদ্যুক্ত হইলেন এবং এতৎকালাবধি নগরস্থ নানা দলের মধ্যে পরিমিত আচরণের লেশও থাকিল না।
