(xii) Measures for settlement of petty disputes and differences, for promotion of mutual good will and co-operative effort in all spheres of village life. (xiii) Organisation of watch and ward for prevention of crime. (xiv) Organisation of social services and for rendering help on the occasion of natural calamities. (xv) Establishment of a general system of intelligence so as to present authenticated needs of villages before authorities competent to provide for then with constructive suggestions for stimulating local support in supplying local wants. (xvi) Creation of a machinery to bring officers of Government and local authorities in closer touch with the representatives of the people. The above list is merely indicative but not exhaustive of the many points that should be covered by the thesis which must present in concrete details (a) what should be done for each village in all spheres of activity mentioned above, to make it a model one, and, (b) how such work of uplift can le done at a minimum of expense with mutual good
