VVS বঙ্গের বাহিরে বাঙ্গালী । কথিত হইয়াছে সভা ভঙ্গ হইলে প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি অশ্রুপূর্ণ লোচনে স্বস্বস্থানে গমন করিয়াছিলেন,- "The Railway Platform was thronged with the elite of Moradabad among whom we noticed Raja Joykissen Dass, C. S.I., Mir Imdad Ali, C. S. I. . . . Some is accompanied him as far as Bareilly-Indian Mirror, Sept. Ist I877. "His reputation is not confined to the Moradabad district alone, but has reached Rampur, too, where he has been successful in treating a few tedious cases. His Highness the Nawab of Rampur and his noble relations entertain a good opinion of his professional skill . . . . . the whole of Moradabad deem his transfer to be a great loss and sincerely regret his departure.' তিনি বারাণসীতে যেরূপ সম্মান ও সমাদর প্রাপ্ত হইয়াছিলেন, তাহ অন্যান্য স্থান অপেক্ষা নূ্যন নহে। ১৮৭৯ অব্দে বারাণসী হইতে তিনি লক্ষ্মেী আগমন করেন। তদবধি তঁহার হস্তে যুক্তপ্রদেশের মধ্যে প্রধান চিকিৎসালয় বলরামপুর হাসপাতালের ভার ন্যস্ত থাকে। বলরামপুরের মহারাজা দিগ্বিজয় সিংহ বাহাদুর কে, সি, এস, আই, ব্যাস্ত্ৰ শিকার কালে হস্তিপূণ্ঠ হইতে হিমালয়ের শৈল-পাদমূলে। পতিত হইয়া মরণাপন্ন হন। গবৰ্ণমেণ্ট কর্তৃক নিযুক্ত হইয়া ডাক্তার মহাশয় র্তাহার চিকিৎসা করেন। তঁহার সুচিকিৎসা গুণে মহারাজা পুনৰ্জ্জীবন লাভ করিয়া কৃতজ্ঞতার নিদর্শন স্বরূপ তাঁহাকে বিবিধ বহুমূল্য উপহার দেন * এবং তাহাতেও সন্তুষ্ট না হইয়া তাহার জাবজীবনের জন্য ১০০২ টাকা মাসিক বৃত্তি নিৰ্দ্ধারণ করেন । আরোগ্য লাভের পর মহারাজা প্ৰকাশ্য দরবার করিয়া যে বক্তৃতা করেন তাহার একস্থানে বলিয়াছিলেন - “ I have to thank Baboo Ram Lall Chuckerbutty, Assistant Surgeon, not only for his very able, skilful and considerate treatment, but for the great attention, rigid watch and extraordinary care he paid with his best heart to me.
