68ty বৰ্ত্তমান জগৎ of its existence as the official organ of the Chinese Students' Alliance in America. In these nine years it has undergone great changes in its make-up and subject matter. From a journal of a few sheet it has grown to one hundred or more pages ; the latest expansion takes the form of increasing the number of issues from eight to nine annually. Out of a nagazine devoted almost entirely to this little student world of ours, it has deve loped into one that includes in its discussions all the important movements in China :-educational, social, industrial and political. It counts among its contributors, not only Chinese students, but also men, Chinese and American, distinguished in every walk of life. That The Wonthly is filling a real need is shown by the expansion of its circulation. It has grown almost ten fold and what is much more gratifying is that almost half of its subscribers are Americans. In the United States there has been a marked increase of interest in China and its people in recent years. Consequently there has risen a ready demand for literature on China. It is our object to supply this demand as far as possible.
