ଏ୬ ୩ ୩ বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধ দলিলপত্র : অষ্টম খন্ড টমিগানের প্রচণ্ড আওয়াজে সকলেই বিচলিত। সমানে চলল জিনজিরা, সুভাড্যা ও কালিন্দী ইউনিয়নের লোকদের উপর গুলী, অগ্নিসংযোগ, লুণ্ঠন, ধর্ষিতা হলো কেরানীগঞ্জের মা বোনেরা। প্রত্যেকটি ঘর আক্রান্ত হলো তিনটি উইনিয়নের। অবশেষে হত্যাযজ্ঞের সমাপ্তি ঘটলো। বর্বর বাহিনী কুখ্যাত ব্রিগেডিয়ার বশীরের নির্দেশ মত থেমে গেল। রেখে গেল এক রক্তাক্ত কাহিনী। প্রতি গ্রাম থেকে খবর এলো অসংখ্য মৃত্যুর। শত শত লাশ। রক্তে রঞ্জিত লাশ, পিতার বুকে জড়ানো শিশুর লাশ, মার কোল থেকে গুলী খেয়ে ছিটকে পড়া শিশুর বিকৃত বীভৎস লাশ, মায়ের লাশ, বোনের লাশ, বর্বর পিশাচের দল রক্তের নদী বইয়ে দিল কেরানীগঞ্জে। প্রতিটি ঝোপ-ঝাড় নালা-ডোবা, আর কাশবন থেকেও পাওয়া গেলো অসংখ্য লাশ। এমন কোন বাড়ী নেই, যে বাড়ীর ক্ষতি হয়নি। প্রতি গ্রামেই বর্বর বাহিনী বাড়ী ঘর পুড়িয়ে দিয়েছে। হিন্দু এলাকাগুলো পুড়িয়েছে বেশী। এমনকি মসজিদ ও বাদ যায়নি। খোলা মাঠে পড়ে থাকা লাশে নিজের হারিয়ে যাওয়া আপন জনকে খুঁজে ফিরেছে কেরানীগঞ্জের লোক। খান সেনারা প্রত্যেক গ্রামে অসংখ্য মানুষকে হত্যা করেছে। শহর থেকে আসা অনেক অপরিচিত লোকের লাশকে নিজ হাতে গোর দিয়েছে এখানকার লোকেরা। মান্দাইল ডাকের সড়কের সামনের পুকুর পারে দসু্যরা এক স্থানে প্রায় ষাটজন লোককে হত্যা করে। কালিন্দীর এক বাড়ীতে বর্বর বাহিনী পাশবিক অত্যাচার করতে গিয়ে এগারজন মহিলাকে হত্যা করে। খোলা মাঠ ও গ্রাম দিয়ে যখন গ্রামবাসী ছুটাছুটি করে প্রাণভয়ে তখন খান সেনারা উপহাস ভরে চালিয়েছে ব্রাশ ফায়ার। বহু অপরিচিত লাশ এখানে সেখানে বিক্ষিপ্তভাবে প্রড়ছিল। অজানা স্থানে ইতস্তত বিকৃত বীভৎস লাশ কুকুরকে খেতে দেখেছে কেরানীগঞ্জবাসী। অনেক খোঁজাখুঁজি করে ভাইয়ের বিকৃত লাশ দেখে সংজ্ঞাহীন হয়েছে এখানকার মানুষ। মেয়েকে পিতার কাছ থেকে ছিনিয়ে নেয়া, ভাইকে বোনের সামনে মারা, সন্তানসম্ভবা মাকে ছেলের সামনে হত্যা, প্রভৃতি করুণ দৃশ্য দেখার তিক্ত অভিজ্ঞতা কেরানীগঞ্জবাসীর। সে অভিজ্ঞতা ২রা এপ্রিলের। জিঞ্জিরা ধ্বংসলীলার আরো বিবরণ On the night of 25 March a severe measure was taken by the army, against the fireservice in the city. People in their desperation to leave the city and take shelter in the safer region of the country-side abandoned their houses leaving all valuables to be looted and plundered.
