Started for and reached Karimgonj. Attempted to visit Sector Head Quarter at Barapenji but failed to do so due to intense shelling by Pak. Army. Went to Mukitol Sub-Sector. Visited patients at Karimgonj Sadar Hospital and Mukti Bahini Hospital set up at Karimgonj. Readied Silchar. Inquired about Youth Camp and patients at Mashimpur Military Hospital. Discussed problems with Sector Commander Col. Dutta. Reached Shillong. Discussed local problems with local political leaders and Administrative Officers. Went to Balat and returned to Gauhati.
