While vehemently protesting against this barbaric action and calling upon the military junta to withdraw the occupation forces from the territory of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and to hand over power to the elected representatives in West Pakistan, we warn that the actions of the military junta are a continuing threat not only to the supremacy of the people's will in that country but also to peace in our region. The people of Ceylon are deeply angered by the crimes of Yahya Khan and military junta and demand an immediate end to them.
