10. The last point relates to the suggestion that the new middle class should be looked after adequately even by sacrificing mass welfare if necessary. It is of very great importance that the middle-class should be looked after. On account of high prices low income and lack of adequate employment for the educated this class has been hard-hit, particularly the lower income group with fixed income. Enough attention has not been paid to their welfare but to suggest that this should be done even at the cost of the masses is dangerous. Such an approach will lead to the triumph of communism and not of Islamic ideals to which we profess loyalty. In any case it would be hypocritical for any government to rule in the name of the people, to profess democratic and Islamic values and neglect the poor masses just because they cannot create mischief.
