অহমদনগর। হয়, তিনি সেখানেই তদীয় প্রসিদ্ধ দক্ষিণ দেশের ইতিহাস রচনা করেন। এই ইতিহাস রচনার সময় ফেরিস্ত। তৎকালীন বিজাপুরের রাজা দ্বিতীয় ইব্রাহিম আদিল সাহা কৰ্ত্তক বিশেষ সাহায্য পাইয়াছিলেন। ইব্রাহিম র্তাহাকে নিৰ্ভয়ে এবং বিনা তোষামোদীতে ইতিহাস রচনা করিতে উৎসাহ দিয়াছিলেন । এই মহানুভবতার জন্য ফেরিস্তা মুক্ত কণ্ঠে ইব্রাহিমকে প্ৰশংসা করিয়াছেন। ফেরিস্তার ইতিহাস একটা অমূল্য রত্ন । ইহাতে কোন স্থানেই ন্যায়ের মৰ্য্যদা পদদলিত হয় নাই ।* মিরান হোসেন অত্যন্ত নৃশংস প্রকৃতির লোক ছিলেন । এই পাপিষ্ঠ ১৫৮৮ খ্ৰীষ্টাব্দে স্বীয় পিতা মুর্তজাকে বধ করিয়া সিংহাসন লাভ করিয়াছিল। এ সময় হইতেই এই রাজবংশের অধঃপতন হইতে আরম্ভ করে। পার্শ্ববৰ্ত্ত নৃপতিরা সকলেই বিলাসীও অত্যাচারী ছিলেন। এ সময়ে সুযোগ বুঝিয়া সম্রাট সাজাহান দক্ষিণ প্রদেশ জয় করিবার জন্য পুত্র মুরাদকে তঁহার সৈন্যাধ্যক্ষ খান খানানের সহিত ত্ৰিশ সহস্র সৈন্যসহ পাঠাইয়াছিলেন। তখন রাজা নাবালক থাকায় প্রখ্যাতনামা চাদবিবি সমুদয় রাজকাৰ্য্য নির্বাহ করিতেন।ণ এই মহীয়সী রমণীর বীরত্ব ও বীরত্বের অপূৰ্ব কাহিনী বিজাপুর শীর্ষক প্ৰবন্ধে যৎকিঞ্চিৎ প্ৰকাশ করিবার প্রয়াস পাইয়াছি। যখন বড় বড় সেনানায়কগণ দুর্গের কিয়দংশ পতিত হইলে কি করিবেন ভাবিয়া ঠিক করিতে পারিতেছিলেন না, সে সময়ে বীরাঙ্গনা চাদ সুলতান সর্বশরীরে বম্ম ধারণ করিয়া 米 4 濑,来 He was a Persian from the shores of the Caspian, he and his work are essentially creations of the lekhan.
