সাজসজ্জাতেই প্রতিপালিত হইয়াছিল। বধ্যভূমিতে মণিপুর সেনাপতি টিকেন্দ্রজিৎ সিংহকে ৫০০ সশস্ত্র গােরা সৈনিক বেষ্টন করিয়া লইয়া আসিয়াছিল। সেনাপতি টিকেন্দ্রজিৎ বীরের ন্যায় নির্ভিক চিত্তে ইংরাজ-রাজের দণ্ডাজ্ঞা পালন করিলেন। অসংখ্য মণিপুরবাসী নর-নারীর সমক্ষে ফাঁসীকাষ্ঠে প্রাণ বিসর্জ্জন দিয় ইহজগতের সমস্ত কষ্ট হইতে পরিত্রাণ পাইলেন। এখন আর টিকেন্দ্রের জন্য কাহাকেও ভীত হইতে হইবে না— টিকেন্দ্রের অত্যাচারে আর এখন কোন রাজপুরুষকে ব্যতিব্যস্ত হইতে হইবে না। মহারাজ সুরাচন্দ্রকেও আর টিকেন্দ্রজিতের ভয়ে ভীত হইতে হইবে না। এখন মহারাজ সুরাচন্দ্র নির্ভিকচিত্তে মণিপুররাজ্যে রাজত্ব করিতে পারিলেই সুখের বিষয় বটে।
