And he commends Shakespeare for having adopted this language; and this advice I mean to adopt except where the thoughts rise high of their own accord and clothe themselves with loftier diction, and that will be in the more Tragic parts of the play. You must remember these remarks, my dear fellow, when you sit down to peruse the Play, and I must at the same time beg of you to treat me with the utmost candour.
