(ག ) The number of Hindus who have visited the magnificent shrines in southern India is less than those who have made pilgrimages in upper India, and still less is the number of those who have written on them. The two out of the three volumes of his travels, which Babu Gosto Behary I hur has caused to be brought out, are therefore, of obsorbing interest pilgrims and tourists alike. The volumes are liberally embellished with appetizing illustrations of important shrines and striking views. The writer has shown much care and industry in the compilation of the volumes and he will undoubtedly feel simply rewarded of intending pilgrims make use of these for their guide.
