By his prolific writings, in English as well as in Bengali, he holds an almost unique position among the writers of the day. The book has been very well got up, the printing and the binding leave nothing to be desired, while the price enables every one to purchase a copy. It is principally divided into 3 parts, Production Distribution and Exchange, besides 4 appendices and an index, the last one being a novel departure in Bengali books. The author has all along taken a moderate view of the questions, while in controversial topics he has given the pros and cons of the subjects. With the exception of the chapter relating to taxation, he has all along compared Indian Economics, with the Economics of other countries and this has considerably enhanced the value of the book.
