With a view to indicate habits of benevolence and a desire to help the poor, a little subscription at the rate of a pice or two from such boys and masters as are able and willing to pay, is raised monthly from which the descrepit and old are paid. Which seems to be in as prosperous and healthy a condition as could be wished. I he school is daily rising in the estimation of the people of the district, the poorer portion of whom actually yearn for instruction in it. Notwithstanding the establishment within the session of a Missionary school in the Town, which admits boys gratis, there are numerous new applications every month for admission into our school.
