* মহান ৰে , , , পাঠকের জ্ঞাত আছেন। বাঙ্গালীতে সেই ওজোগুণের উপলদ্ধি করা অতীব বাঞ্ছনীয় ; বর্তমান প্রয়াসে সে অভিপ্রায় কি পৰ্য্যন্ড সিদ্ধ হইয়াছে তাহা সন্ধায় পাঠকবৃন্স নিরূপিত করিবেন। বিবিধার্থসঙ্গ হের ৬ষ্ঠ পৰ্ব্ব, ৬ খণ্ডে অর্থাংশকাৰী ১৭৮১ ভাঞ্জ সংখ্যায় (পৃ. ১০৪-১১১) দ্বিতীয় সর্গ প্রকাশিত হয়। ইহাতেও লেখকের নাম ছিল না। তৃতীয় ও চতুর্থ সর্গ সাময়িক-পত্রে প্রকাশিত হয় নাই। সমগ্র চারি সর্গ একেবারে পুস্তকাকারে ১৮৬০ খ্ৰীষ্টাব্দের মে মাসে কলিকাতা ব্যাপটিস্ট মিশন গ্রেস হইতে প্রকাশিত হয় ; পৃষ্ঠা-সংখ্যা ১•৪ । যতীন্দ্রমোহন ঠাকুর প্রথম সংস্করণ পুস্তক মুদ্রণের ব্যয়ভার বহন করেন। . ১২৬৮ সালে প্রকাশিত এই পুস্তকের দ্বিতীয় সংস্করণে মধুসূদন বহুল পরিবর্জন করিয়াছিলেন। মধুসূদন তিলোত্তমাসম্ভব কাব্যের স্বহস্তলিখিত পাণ্ডুলিপি যতীন্দ্রমোহনকে উপহার দিয়াছিলেন। এই প্রসঙ্গে যতীন্দ্রমোহন কবিকে লিখিয়াছিলেন – I know hot how to thank you adequately for the very valuable present of the manuscript follows in the Poet's own bandwriting i I will preserve it with the greatest care in my Library, as a monument that marks a grand epoch in our literature, when Bengali poetry first broke thro' the fetters of rhyme and soared exultingly into the loftly region of sublimity which is her gennine province.
