MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL. _ _ NOTIFICATION The 15th March 1886 —It is hereby notified for general information that the LieutenantGovernor intends, in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 221 of Act III B C ) of 1884, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Commissioners of the Noakholly Municipality, made at a meeting, to extend the provisions of sections 232, 243, 261, 262, 266, 268, 269, 270, 271, and clauses (2) and (3) of section 278 of Part VI of Act III (BC.) of 1884 to the said Municipality, unless good reasons are shown to the contrary within one month from the date of the publication of this notification within the Municipality |R. NOTIFICATION The 16th March 1886.--Whereas a notification, dated the 4th November 1885, was published at page 72, Part 1B of the Calcutta Gazette of the 11th idem, declaring the intention of the I/ieutenant-Governor to extend the provisions of Part XI of Act III (B C ) of 1884 to the Assensole Municipality in the district of Burdwan, and whereas no valid objections have been raised to the proposal within one month from the date of the publication of the above notification within the Municipality, it is hereby notified for general information that, in the exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 346 of the Aot, the Lieutenant-Governo oxtends the provisions of Part XI of the Act to the said Municipality.
