It is the first book on political economy in the Bengali language that I have come accross. I was surprised to find that the subject had been trealted with such masterly lucidity, in spite of the great difficulty in expressing the thoughts in a strange and forced language. The illustrations taken from Indian life, nake the book particularly accessible to the young Indian students. The book is only an clementary treatise for beginners, and while II Offer my congratulations to the gifted author on his success in this venture, I trust that he will go further and give us an exposition of the higher and more difficult principles of this important science.
