২৪ শে আগষ্ট যে গ্রামে পূর্বোক্ত তরুণদের হত্যা করা হয় সেই হোসেনপুর গ্রামেই গেরিলারা আকস্মিকভাবে একটি রাজাকার ঘাঁটির উপর তীব্র আক্রমণ চালিয়ে ২৫ জনকে খতম করেন। পরের দিন মৈমনসিংহ জেলার কুলিয়ারচর গ্রামে আরও ৬ জন রাজাকারকে হত্যা করা হয়।
২৬শে আগষ্ট মুক্তিবাহিনীর গেরিলারা রাজাকারদের সন্ধানে নোয়াখালী জেলার চেীমোহনী রেলষ্টেশনে প্রচণ্ড আক্রমণ চালায়। সেখানে ৮ রাজাকার খতম হয় এরপর মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা একটি বড় গ্যারেজের উপর প্রচণ্ড আক্রমণ চালান। এখানে রাজাকাররা একটি শিবির স্থাপন করেছিল। এই আক্রমণে ১৬ জন রাজাকার নিহত হয়।
ঐ একই দিনে মুক্তিবাহিনীর যোদ্ধারা দোয়াক বাজারে ২০ জন রাজাকারকে খতম করেন। প্রায় একই সঙ্গে শত্রঘাঁটির উপর এক অতর্কিত আক্রমণ চালিয়ে মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা বেগমগঞ্জে ৫০ জন পাক সেনাকে খতম করেন।
২৮ শে আগষ্ট কুমিল্লা খণ্ডে সালদা নদীতে মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা ১৯ জন খান সেনাকে হত্যা করেন।
গত শুক্রবার রংপুর জেলার পচাগড়ে মুক্তি বাহিনীর গেরিলারা শত্রঘাঁটির উপর দ্বিমুখী আক্রমণ চালান কুড়িজন পাকিস্তানী ও কয়েকজন রাজাকারকে হত্যা করে মুক্তিবাহিনী শত্রুশিবিরকে ধ্বংস করে দেন।
পরের দিন তুরিহাটে গেরিলারা ছদ্মবেশে পাক সৈন্যের দশজন সাগরেদকে খতম করেছেন।
Mukti Bahini Harassing Pak Troops
Mujibnagar, August 30"- The Mukti Bahini continues to harass the Pakistani army at a number of places in Bangladesh, according to reports reaching here from across the border.
A large number of Pakistani troops have been killed in encounters in various sectors where guerillas are operating. A large number of Rajakars, Muslim League Volunteers and collaborators have also been murdered.
According to one report, the army authorities continue to pressurize Mr. Nurul Amin, one of the two non Awami League members of the stillborn National Assembly and some other quislings to join a delegation going abroad to present the Pakistani point of view.
The authorities are reported to have promised protection to their families and their belongings against guerilla attacks.
The reports speak of large scale destructions from the civil and armed services. The authorities have arrested some policemen on suspicion that they are aiding the guerillas. Police stations, among other places, are the chief targets of the Mukti Bahini.
