On one part, were flocks and herds feeding in the pastures; on another, all the beasts of chase frisking in the lawns , the sprightly kid was bounding on the rocks, the subtle monkey frolicking in the trees, and the solemn elephant reposing in the shade. All the diversities of the world were brought together, the blessings of nature were collected and its evils extracted and excluded.” এই উদ্ধত অংশ ভাষান্তরিত করিয়া তারাশঙ্কর এই ভাবে তাহার পুস্তক-মধ্যে প্রকাশিত করিয়াছেন,— "পৰ্ব্বতের চতুর্দিক হইতে জল পড়িয়া ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র অনেক নদী প্রবাহিত হয়। সেই সকল নদী একত্র হইয়া গিরিগর্ভের মধ্যস্থলে প্রকাণ্ড এক হ্রদ হয় । তথায় নানা প্রকার মৎস্য ছিল ও নানা বিধ জলচর পক্ষী সকল সাতার দিয়া ক্রীড়া কৌতুক করিত। পৰ্ব্বতের চারিদিকে ভগ্ন প্রস্তর ছিল, যখন জল ছাপাইয়া উঠিত তখন ভগ্ন প্রস্তরের মধ্য দিয়৷ বহির্গত হইত। গিরিগর্ভ অতি মনোহর। উহার চতুর্দিক নানা তরুমণ্ডলীতে আচ্ছন্ন এবং গিরি-নদীর তীর-বিকসিত কুসুমে সৰ্ব্বদা আলোকময়। মন্দ মন গন্ধবহ নানাবিধ গন্ধলত কম্পিত করিয়া চতুর্দিকে মুগন্ধ বিস্তার করিত এবং প্রতিমাসে
