( 8b/8 ) EDUCATION. NOTICE. RULES for the Examination of Candidates for insertion in the list directed to be annually furnished to Government by the Notification of the Governor-General, dated 10th October, 1844. 1. No one shall be allowed to become a Candidate for insertiou in the Annual Returns, who is less than 18 or more than 23 years of age; and who is uot at the time a Student either of a Government or of a private Institution recognized by the Council of Education. All competitors must likewise produce satisfactory proofs of good moral character. 2. Every Candidate, whether he belong to a Government College or a private Institution, shall be required to undergo the usual Annual Examination for Senior English Scholarships, a Latin being substituted for a Wernacular Essay, at the option of each Candidate. 3. There shall be two classes of merit: the first shall comprehend all who are in the last year of a Senior Scholarship, or who, though not actually in the last year, would be so, if there had been a vacant Scholarship at the time when they first became eligible for one ; or have been engaged for ten years in the study of English at a private Institution, and who obtain at least 4ths of the number of marks allowed in each subject. The second clubs slall include all other Candidates, who obtain at least 4 of the number of marks allowed for complete answers in every subject contained in the Senior English Scholarship standard. 4. The place of each successful competitor in his class, shall be determined by the relative merit of his examination. 5. Every Candidate for insertion in the Council's list, shall pay a registration fee of Company's Rupees 5, prior to being allowed to compete at the examination. 6. The examinations shall be held annually at the Town Hall, a few days before the Doongah Poojah holidays, of which due notice shall be giveu. 7. A Student who shall fall to prove himself qualified for insertion in the Council's list, sliall not be permitted to present hi uself for examination more than three tunes, pre-paying on each occasion the usual registration fee. 8. A Candidate whose name shall once have appeared in the Return, shall not be allowed to compete again with a view to obtain a higher grade. 9. All Candidates, whether from Government or private Institutions, must distinctly understand, that mere insertion in the Returns will by no means be a sure passport to employment, since the pre rগবর্ণমেণ্ট গেজেট । ১৮৪৫ । ১৯ আগষ্ট ৷৷ বিদ্যাধ্যাপন । বিজ্ঞাপন । अिीपूङ शबश्मइ ८ञ्जनदण दाहानृष्डङ्ग श्जुङ्ग ८को८न्नट्जङ्ग ১৮৪৪ সালের ১০ অক্টোবর তারিখের বিজ্ঞাপনানুসারে কৰ্মাকাজিকরদের নামের যে ফর্দ বৎসরে ২ গবর্ণমেণ্টকে निदाङ्ग छकूय इ३ब्राप्छ ८नड शम्श्री-ड जिथिदाङ्ग ८थाभा কর্মাকালিফরদের ইমতিহানের বি খান । ১ । যাতায় আঠার বৎসরের কম কি ভেটশ ব থলয়ের অধিক বয়স হয় এবং যে জন ইমতিষ্কাম দেওনের সময়ে গবর্ণমেন্টের কোন এক কালেজেব অথবা বিw্যাখ্যাপনের কেন্সেলের স্বীকৃত কোন বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র না হয় সেই জন বার্ষিক রিপোটে আপন নাম লিখনের অাক1চিক্ষয়দের মধ্যে গণ্য হইতে পারে না । কৰ্মাকাঙ্ক্ষি সকল লোuকর আবশ্যক যে আপনারদের সঙ্গাচারিভার বিষয়ে হজোখজনক প্রমাণ দেয় । ২ । প্রত্যেক জন কমাকাচ্ছী গবর্ণমেণ্টের কোন কালেঞ্জের সম্পৰ্কীয় হউক কিছু 1 বিশেষ বিদ্যালয়ের সম্পকীয় হউক ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী প্রধান বৃত্তি প্রাপণার্থ ছাত্রেরা বৎসরে ২ যে ইমতিহান দিব থাকে তাক দিলেক কিন্তু কৰ্মাক ক্ষী আপন ইচ্ছামতে এদেশীয় ভাষায় এসে অর্থাৎ রচনা না লিখি স্না লাটিন ভাষায় লিখিতে পারে । ৩ । যোগ্যতার দুই সম্প্রদায় হইবেক। যাহারদের প্রধান বুৰি ভোগের শেষ বৎসর হইয়াছে অথবা যাহারদের নিতান্তই শেষ বৎসর হয় নাই কিল ভ’হারদের বৃদ্ধি পাইবার যোগ্য হওন সময়ে বৃত্তি শুন্য থাকিলে এবং তাহার। তাহ পাইলে এক্ষণে এ বুeির শেষ বৎসর স্বাক্ট ও অথবা যাহার কোন বিশেষ বিদ্যালযে দশ বৎসরপর্য্যন্ত বিদ্যা শিক্ষা করিয়াছে এব ইমতিক্তানের প্রত্যেক বিষয়ে যত চিক নিদিষ্ট আছে তাহার ঢারি অংশের অনু্যন ভিন অংশ পায় তাহার প্রথম শ্রেণীভুক্ত হইতে পারে। এবং ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী প্রধান বৃত্তি পাইবার নিমিহে যে? বিষয়ে ইমতিহান দিতে হয় তাহার প্রত্যেক বিষয়ে নির্দিষ্ট চিঙ্কের অনু্যন অৰ্দ্ধ অংশ যাহারা পায় ७यङ अन7 नकल रू४ाकाब्त्री दिडीव्र ८टथोडूङ इश्বেক । 8 । इंग्रडिहा८मद्ध जय८म्न क्लङकार्य कर्भीक क्रिङ्गट्नद्र ধণের তারতম্য বুঝিয় তাহারা সম্প্রদায়ের প্রথম দ্বিতী য়াদি স্থানে ভর্বি হইবেক । ৫ । যাহার কৌন্সেলের ফর্দে নাম লেখাষ্টতে অ1 কাক্ষা রাঙ্গে তাহারদের ইমত্তিস্থানে প্রতিযোগিতা করণের অনুমতি পাইবার পূর্বে কোৎ ৫১ টাকা ফিস দিত্তে হইবেক । ১। ইমতিহীন বৎসরে দুর্গ পূজার ছুটার ফএক দিবস পূৰ্ব্বে টোন হালে হইবেক তাহার সম্বাদ উপযুক্তমতে দিন থাকিতে দেওয়া যাইবেক । ৭ । যে কোন ছাত্র কৌন্সেলের ফর্দেতে আপন নাম লেখাইবার যোগ্যতার প্রমাণ না দেয় সে তিন বাবের অধিক ইমeিহান দিতে পারিবেক না এবং সেই প্রত্যেকবারের পূৰ্ব্বে তাহার উক্ত ফিল দিতে হইবেক । ৮ । যে কৰ্মাকাঙ্গিক্ষর নাম ফর্দেতে লেখা যায় সেই জন উচ্চ শ্রেণী পাইবার অভিপ্রায়ে পুনৰ্বার ইমতিস্থান দিতে অনুমতি পাইবেক না। ৯ । গবর্ণমেন্টের ও বিশেষ বিদ্যালয়ের সকল কর্মকাক্ষী সপষ্টরূপে জানিবেক যে তাহারদের মাম ফর্দেতে লিখিত হুইলেই তাহার নিতান্ত কর্ম পাইবেক এমত নহে
