HOME DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION ensensimma Рuвшло Calcutta, the 20th February 1894 No 337 —The Governor-General in Council hereby notifies that on the following days
- Notification No 5318 (Mis ), dated during 1894, which are not declared" by the Government 4th December 1893 of Bengal to be “public holidays” under section 25 of the
Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the offices directly subordinate to the Government of India at Calcutta, with the exception of— (1) the Office of Issue of the Paper Currency Department, (2) the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, shall be closed Y-Muhammadan Holidays Idul-Fitr —On the 8th April (Sunday), or, if the moon be not visible on the 7th April, on the 9th April Iduz-Zuha —On the 15th June, or, if the moon be not visible on the 5th June, on the 16th June Muharram —On July 18th and 14th, or, if the moon be not visible on the 4th July, on July 14th and 15th (Sunday) Fatiha-e-Duazdahum —On the 18th September, or, if the moon be not visible on the 1st September, on the 14th September II.—Hindu Holydays Durga and Lakhi Pujas —October 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 18th III —Other Holidays The second day following Christmas Day, 27th December C J Lyal L, Secy, to the Govt of India
