ORDERS BY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR OF BENGAL. ===aجتمر _ REVENUE DEPARTMENT—(FORESTS) _ SMMMS TAASAASAASAA AAAS مجته NOTIFICATION No 1097 For The 27th February 1894—The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to order that the portions of the boundaries of the Sundarbans Reserved Forest lying within the districts of the 24-Parganas and Khulna, specified below, shall be surveyed and demarcated undér the provisions of Act W (BC) of 1875 The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to appoint Mr P Ross, Commissioner in the Sundarbans, to be an Assistant Superintendent of Survey under the Bengal Survey Act, to supervise the survey and demarcation of the said forest boundaries under the said Act, and to vest him, under Part II, section 4, paragraph 2 of that Act, with all the powers, of a Collector to be exercised in respect of such survey and demarcation The Lieutenant-Governor is further pleased, under section 58 of the Bengal Survey Act, to appoint the Commissioner of the Presidencv Division to hear appeals from the decision of the Assistant Superintendent of Survey (vested with the puwers of a Collector under that Act) as above appointed Description of boundaries to be surveyed and demarcated (1) A line from the left bank of the Bhola river eastward to the Bogi Khal, separating the forest (reserved) from lot No 6 (Khoulla-Barisal) (m) A line from the left bank of the Ishamati river that flows along the west of lot No 169, first north-east, then north, to a khal that flows into the Chuar Gang, an afflurut of the Golpotto river (u) A line separating lot No 172 from the granted portion of that lot called Kalench Abad (iv) A line running from the right bank of the Jabuua to the left bank of the Kalind, river in a north-westerly direction, and forming the northern bounday of lot No 164, called Kaokhnlı C E Buckland, Secy to the Govt of Bengal
