FORT WILLIAM, LEGISLATIVE, DEPARTMENT, Тнк 14тн Остоввв, 1842 The following Act is passed by the Honourable the President of the Council of India iu Council on the 14th of October, 1842, with the assent of the Right Honourable the Governor General of India, which has been read and recorded Ordered, that the Act be promulgated for general Information ACT No X op 1842 An Act for enabling the Inhabitants of any place of public resort or residence ander the Presidency of Fort William, not withvi the sown of Calcutta, to make better provision for purposes connected with public health and conventence I It is hereby enacted, that if it shall appear to either of the Governments of the Presidency of Fort William, that two-thirds in number of the householders of any Town, Suburb, Settlement or place of public resort and residence within that Presidency are desirous of making better provision for the repairing cleansing, lighting, drunning or watching of any public streets, roads, drains or tanks, or any like local purpose, it shall be lawful for the Local Government to which such place as above described is subject to authorize the same in manner following II And it is hereby enacted, that the Local Governments upon any application made to it for the purpose by or on the part of the householders aforesaid, may, at its discretion, authorize the persons whose names shall be presented or so unany of them as may be thought proper being inhabitants of the place as above described to be a Committee for the purpose of effecting the local objects specified in the application [Government Gazetto, 1st November, 1842 I | আইন । ফোর্ট উলিয়ম। লেজিসলেটিব ডিপার্টমেন্ট । ইঙ্গবেজী ১৮৪২ সাল ১৪ অক্টাবর। ভাৰতবর্ষেব প্রযুত গবরনর জেনবল বাহাদুৰেৰ অনু মতিক্রমে ভারতবর্ষেৰ কৌন্সেলেৰ ইযুত প্রসীডেন্ট সী হেব বাহাদুব হজুৰ কৌন্সেলে ইঙ্গৰেজী ১৮৪২ সালেৰ ১৪ অটোবৰ তাৰিখে নীচের লিখিত আইন জারী কবিলেন । ঐযুত গবরনর জেনবল বাহাদুবেব ঐ অনু মতিপত্র পাঠ হইয়া কৌন্সেলেৰ বহীতে লেখা গেল । হুকুম হইল ষে এই আইন সকল লোককে জানাইবাৰ টঙ্গবেঙ্গী ১৮৪১ সাল ১• আইন । কলিকাতা শহৰেৰ বাহিরে ফোর্ট উলিয়ম বাজধানীৰ অধীন সাধারণ লোকেৰদের গমনাগমনেৰ কোন স্থা নের অথবা কোন বাসস্থানেৰ নিবাসিবদিগকে সাধার ণেব স্বাস্থ্য ও উপকাৰেৰ বিষয়ে পূৰ্ব্বাপেক্ষ উত্তম উপায় কৰণের ক্ষমতা দেওনেব আইন । ১ ধারা । ইহাতে হইল যে ফোর্ট উলিয়ম রাঙ্গ थांबीद नूहे ਜੰ এক গবৰ্ণমেন্টের যদ্যপি এমত বোধ হয় যে ঐ বাজধানীৰ অন্তঃপাতি কোন শহৰ কি শহরতলী কি বসতি কি সাধারণ লোকেৰদেব গমন । গমনেয স্থানেব ও নিবাসেব গৃহস্থেরদেব তিন অংশের 'ಶ್ಗ কোন সরকারী বান্ত বা পথ বা নরদমা ক পুষকরিণী মেবামৎ ৪ পরিষ্ণকারকরণেব ও তাহাড়ে আলো দেওনেব ও জলপথ কবণেব অথবা চৌকী দেওনের নিমিৰ কিম্বা সেইরূপ অন্য কোন স্থানবিশেষের কার্য্যেৰ নিমিৰে পূৰ্ব্বাপেক্ষা উত্তম উপায় করিতে চাহে তবে উপ রেব লিখিত সেই স্থান যে গবর্ণমেন্টের অধীন গেষ্ট গবর্ণ 器 নীচের লিখিতমতে হুকুম দিতে পাবেন ੇਿ | C १ थाद्भा ॥ ७द९ इश८ङ चकूश छडल ८ण गदर्भ८मझे उंड श्रृंह८ऋद्रप्नद झाप्म अर्थद ठाशाङ्गदमद अप्ञ डेख অভিপ্রায়েব বিষয়ের জবখান্ত পাইলে যে ব্যক্তিবদের নাম গবর্ণমেন্টে অৰ্পণ হয় অথবা তাহারদের মধ্যে এ স্থাননিবাসিরদেব যত ব্যক্তিকে উচিৎ বোধ হয় ভা হাৰদিগকে দরখাস্তেব নির্দিষ্ট তৎস্থানীয় কাৰ্য্য সম্প দনেৰ নিমিত্তে আপন বিবেচনাক্রমে এক কমিটিরণ নিযুক্ত কবিন্তে পারেন ইতি।
