The 6th January 1876.--Whereas it appears to the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal that land is required to be taken by Government at the public expense for a pullic purpose, viz., for the site of the Fenny Sub-division Head-Quarters, in the village of Faraduagar, pergunnah Amirabad, zilla h Noakholly, it is hereby declared that for the above purpose a piece of land measuring, more or less, 9 beeghas 12 cottahs of standard mcasurement, bounded on the north by Mainuddin's Road and Amjad's taluqi land; on the south by the cultivated lands of Das Mahomed, Muchi Gazi Mahomcd Ali, and Aminuddin; on the east by the cultivated lands of Elahi Baksh, Muchi Gazi, Azim Bepari, Das Mahome d, and other taluqdars ; and on the west by the Grand Trunk Road from Tipperah to Chittagong, is required within the aforesaid village of Faradnagar. The 11th January 1876.--Whereas it appears to the Licutenant-Governor of Bengal that the undermentioned plots of land are required to be taken by Gcvernment at the public exponse for a public purpose, viz., for village chowkidar's jayghcer, to be given as compensation for the loss of the jayghccrlands acquired for the road from Baraan to Panchthupi:—(1) in the village of Salika, pergunnah Fatesing, zillah Beerbhoom (fiscally Moorshedabad), a piece of land measuring, more or less, 8 cottahs 12# gundas of standard measurement, bounded on the north by the lands of Kangal chowkidar; on the west by the new road; and on the cast and south by the lands of Nitai Gop; (2) in the village of Salika, pergunnah Fatesing, zillah Beerbhoom (fiscally Moorshedabad), a piece of land measuring, more or lcss, 12 cottahs 6 gundas of standard measurement, bounded on the east by the lands of Kangal chowkidar, and on the west, north, and south by mál lands; it is hereby declared that, for the above purpose, picces of land measuring, more or less, 1 beegha and 183 gundas are required within the aforesaid village of Salika.
