( broం ) (Pant II. Mr. J. Pratt, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Mymensingh, acted as Magistrate and Collector of that district from the 20th April to the 14th May 1877. Mr. Pratt reverted to his appointment as an Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector of the First Grade from the 15th May 1877. The leave for six months, on medical certificate, granted to Mr. W. B. Martin, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, Mudhepoorah, in Bhagulpore, under orders of the 24th May 1877, is commuted to furlough for one year, under Section 7, Supplement F of the Civil Leave Code. The 7th July 1877.-Mr. H. G. Cooke, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, is appointed temporarily to have charge of the Sewan and Gopalgunge divisions of the Sarun district. {} 0 The 9th July 1877.—Mr. W. D. Blyth, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, in charge of the Nattore division of the Rajshahye district, is transferred to the Sudder Station of that district. Mr. Blyth is vested with special appellate powers under Section 87 of the Land Registration Act, VII (B.C.) of 1876, in Rajshahye. Mr. D. Cameron, Assistant Magistrate and Collector, Moorshedabad, is transferred to the Rajshahye Division, and is appointed to have charge of the Nattore division of the Rajshahye district. Mr. H. M. Tobin, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector, 24-Pergunuahs, is appointed temporarily to act as a Presidency Magistrate for the Town of Calcutta. Police.—The 30th June 1877.-Mr. W. D. Pratt, District Superintendent of Police, Hooghly, is allowed leave for three months, under the rules in Chapter VII of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the 15th July next, or from any subsequent day within one month of that date on which he may avail himselfstf it. REG1st RATION.—The 9th July 1877.-Baboo Behary Lall Chandra, Special SubRegistrar of Furreedpore, is allowed leave for one month, under Section 3, Supplement F, of the Civil Leave Code, with effect from the 26th April 1877. . Education.—The 5th July 1877.-Mr. R. Cornish, Officiating Joint-Magistrate and Deputy Collector of Mozufferpore, is appointed as Secretary to the District School Committee at that station. The 9th July 1877–The following gentlemen are appointed as members of the District School Committee at Backergungc :— Mr. F. W. Badcock, c.s. ,, H. N. Harris, District Superintendent of Police. Dr. W. F. Murray, Civil Surgeon. } Mr. W. L. Owen, Manager-General of Wards' and Attached Estates. The 10th July 1877.-Baboo Bhoodeb Mookerjee, Inspector of Schools, Behar Circle, is appointed to be Inspector of Schools, Western Circle. Baboo Bhoodeb Mookerjee will continue also in charge of the Behar Circle as a temporary arrangement. Mr. J. Willson, of the Education Department, reported his departure from India on furlough on the 7th May 1877. 轉 The following officers have been appointed ex officio members of the District School Committee for 24-Pergunnahs, in addition to the gentlemen whose appointments were notified in the Calcutta Gazette of the 4th instant :— The Inspector of Schools, "Presidency Circle. Price, M.D., Officiating Civil Surgeon of Fooree, is appointed to act until further orders as Civil Surgeon of Jessore. Surgeon B.
