NOTIFICATION, The 8th March 1886.–The Hon’ble Moulvi Abdul Jabbar is appointed to be a Member of the Committee appointed to enquire into Muhammadan Educational Endow- . ments, P. Noian, (\ Offy. Secy, to the Govt. of Bengal. NOTIFICATION. The 1st March 1886-Under the provisions of section 9 of the Bengal Excise Act VII of 1878, and with the sanction of the Board of Revenue, a Distillery in which spirituous liquors may be manufactured after the native process having been established at Burdwan, in the district of Burdwan, it is hereby notified that, from and after 1st April 1886, within the following limits, which have been fixed with the sanction of the said Board of Revenue, no such liquors, unless manufactured at the said Sudder distillery, shall be introduced and sold without a pass from the Collector, and no still shall be constructed or worked, or spirituous liquors manufactured, except at the said Distillery.— Boundary. Northern boundary.—A line passing through Bunpass, Jugdabad to Malkoota, and from Malkoota through Srikiatopur, Nobasta, Baautpore to Kuchut. Western boundary.—A line passing from Bunpass through Kissorkona, Kanoo, Ura to Damparah on the Damoodar. Southern boundury —The river Damoodar from Damparah to Alumpore. Eastern boundary.—A line passing from Kuohut through Doloibazar, Alumpore, up to the river 1)amoodar T. E. Cox HRAD, Collector. NOTIFICATION. The 9th March 1886.-In exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3(9) of Act II of 1886, the Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to appoint Mr. G. M. Goodricke to be Collector for the purposes of the Act in Calcutta, the Suburbs of Calcutta, and Howrah. R. H. Wilson, Offg. Secy. to the Govt. of Bengal. NOTIFICATION. 4 The 9th March 1886 —The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to order that the following Rule be substituted for Rule I of the Rules for the Sunderbums Protected Forests, published un the notification of the 5th May 1885 at page 428, I of the Calcutta Gazette of the 18th idem, aud that the revised rates shall have effect from the lst April 1886 :— Rule I.-No trees, timber, or any other forest produce shall be cut, sawn, gathered, or removed from within the boundaries of the Sunderbuns Protected Forests without prepayment in full of the charges due thereon at the rates following – (1) Sundrı, pussur, and amoor tımber ın pıeces measurıng 8 feet any'upwards !ll length, or 8 feet 9 inches and upwards in girth at the thick end, for every maund one anna. (2). Sundrı firewood, lor every maund one half anna. (3). Any other forest produce, except honey and wax, for every maund one-quarter all Ilā. (4). The right to collect honey and wax, for each man per month one rupee eight toū [188. These, or such other changes as may from tune to time be fixed under this rule, will also be levied on timber and other forest produce which may be exported from lands leased under the rules for the lease of waste lauds in the Suuderbuns. | Government Gazette, 16th March 1886.
