The 23rd February 1886 –It is notified for general information that the Declaration, dated the 21st November 1885, published at page 87, Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 26th idem, regarding the aoquisition of a plot of land at No. 11, Kumertoly Street, nn'the Town of Calcutta, for the erection of a public latrine, is hereby cancelled. 彝 R. The 23rd February 1886.-It is hereby uotifled for general information that in consequence of the removal of the Hospital for the examination and detention of diseased horses in Calcutta and the Suburbs from Park Street to Entally, and the appointment of a visiting Superintendent to the 1Jospital, the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to 1.lake the following revised rules under section 6 of the Bengal Contagious Diseases (Animals’) Act vIII (B o) ot m880, in modification of those publishod under Goverument notification, dated the 16th April 1881 — 1. A Hospital for the examination and detention of horses affected with disease shall be established under the direction of the, Comm stioner of Police on a piece of land in Middle Road, Entally, in the Suburbs of Calcutta, bounded as folluws:– On the East–By Convent Bridge Road. On the West–By No 84, M.ddle Road, Entally. On the North–By Government drain and house No. 17, Convent Road. On the South—By Middle lioad, Entally 2. A Veterinary Surgeon shall be appointed as the visiting Superintendent of the Hospital, and it shall be his duty to visit the institution regularly and to examine all diseased horses taken the re. 3. The Inspector attached to the Ent ally police station shall be the officer in charga of the Hospital Subject to his control, the Jemadar shall carry on all duties connected with the Hospital. The Jemadar will reside at the Hospital, and will receive a salary of Rs. 10 per meusem. 4. The owner of any horse detained in such Hospital shall be required to pay such charges as would be leviable if the horse were confined in the pound In addition, the aum of Rs 2 shall be charged for the disposal of the carcass of each horse. shall be recovered in the m unner preset ibed in section 9 of the Act 5. The carcasses of horses affected with disease shall be conveyed for burial to IDhappa. 6. Tarruck Chatterjee's Street, it is hereby de lacd th it for the above purpose a piece of land, No 14, Tarruck Chatterjee's Street, in the Town of Calcutta, district 24-Pergunnahs, imeasuring, more or less, 1 chittack and 25 square feet only, are required.
