The 19th March 1886 —Uuder the provisions of section 9 of the Bengal Excise Act, Vts of 1878, aud with the sauction of the Board of Revenue, a distillery in which spirituous. liquors may be manufactured after the native process having been established at Lalbagh, 1u the district of Moorshedabad, it is hereby notified that from and after the 1st April 1886, within the following limits, which have been fixed with the sauction of the said Board of Revenue, no such liquors, unless manufactured at the said sudder distillery, shall be introduced and sold without a pass from the Collector, and no sull shall be coustructed or worked, or spirituous liquors manufactured, except at the said distillery — Northeru boundary ... Sreedhurpur, Khetooa, Romna, Rampur Factory Romna Kobra, Malipur, Faridpur and Kamalchak. Western boundary ... A prize of Rs. 180 and a Silver Medal will be awarded for the best specimen of Printing ou cotton or silk These prizes are open to all artizans throughout India. The prize works remain the property of the competitors. If they are for sale, it should be so stated, and the price marked on each speoimen, together with the name and address of the maker. The objects for competition must be delivered-carriage prepaid-by the 31st of I)ecember 1886, and addressed to the Superintendent, Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy School of Art, Bombay The object of these prizes bcing the encouragement of native art workmanship, the prizes will be awarded to those specimens which are truly Oriental in character, and which exemplify in the highest degree elegance in design with excellence in workmanship, Л.
