পত্র ৫ একটি গল্প রচনা করিয়া জগদীশচন্দ্রের চিত্তবিনোদন করিবেন ॥১ জগদীশচন্দ্রের একখানি চিঠিতে দেখি (১৮ এপ্রিল ১৯০০), তিনি শিলাইদহ হইতে ফিরিয়া তাহার ‘পাওনা’ আদায়ের চেষ্টা করিতেছেন— ‘আপনার লেখা গল্প মাঝে-মাঝে পাঠাইবেন । প্রথম কয়টা দিন আপনি ফাকি দিয়াছেন। অন্তত: সে কয়টা গল্প আমার পাওনা আছে।’ জগদীশচন্দ্রের অনেক চিঠিতে রবীন্দ্রনাথের ছোট গল্পের সকৌতুক উল্লেখ আতু প্রবিষ্ট— ‘আমি এ কয়দিন “মে ঘ ও রৌদ্রে র” মধ্য দিয়া গিয়াছি । মেঘের মধ্যে রজতরেখ। কথন কথন দেখা দিয়াছে’ (৬ মার্চ ১৯• • ) । দেখিবেন স দ রে র অতু গ্রহে যেন আমি অ নদ রে র বিরাগভাজন না হই’ ( ১৬ মার্চ ১৯০০ ) । 'তোমার মিনির বিবাহ হইল । ক বু লী ও য়া লা তাহাতে উপস্থিত থাকিতে না পারিয়া অত্যন্ত দুঃখিত আছে’ ( ১১ জুলাই ১৯০১)। ബ --ബ്-- ജ്- -- -ജ ്റ്- --റ-് mm immim դա արտ * наш ജ്ഞ greatness.
